Motivation doesn't come from without, it comes from within.
Several things keep me motivated to write.
1. I think about the good I'm doing by changing lives through my writing.

2. I give myself deadlines. That way, I force myself to sit and write. But you do have to understand that ideas will not always flow well each time you sit down to write. Don't focus on how much you write. Instead, focus on the quality of your writing and the consistency. Writing two hundred words each day for five days, to me, is better than writing a thousand words at a go every five days.

3. I see myself as an artist that constantly needs to practice to stay focused. Doesn't matter what you write about, just write.

4. I remind myself that people need to read new books from me. I aim to create better content for my readers so I push myself to do better.

5. When I'm not writing, I read. Reading is one good way a writer gets motivated to write.

Wow. I think the problem I have is, I think about my audience so much and worry about how they'd see the story while reading. Then when only little come appreciating, I begin feeling it's not good. That I'm not doing well. But I really need to get past that thought and do what makes me happy. What keeps me glued and wants me doing more. Thanks so much for this. I'm grateful ❤

Don't fret about how others see your writing. No matter how well you write, there will always be people who won't appreciate your work.

The fact that not many people tell you how good you are does not, in any way, mean you're a bad writer. There may be people who feel impressed about your work but will not tell you. I call them silent followers. They enjoy reading your work but will never leave a review. Every writer has them. Be happy with the few who make a point of giving feedback after they read your work.

If writing makes you happy, then by all means, write. But most importantly, follow your creative instincts and let the characters create the story (for those who write fiction).
If you're a none fiction writer, stick to the facts and find a way to get the reader hooked.
