there's something wrong with the lecturer because obviously these students did well in their continuous assessment. I smell victimization.

The lecturer failed.... should be sacked ASAP.
If the students pass other lecturers courses and failed his own, then he is the problem

This is results of students on extension, they didn’t attend the class and only came to write the exam... hopefully the Education department might wave the course for them to avoid a second year extension.....

AAU nor be beans....

Why would economics be under faculty of social science? Everything is wrong about this school/result.

Which faculty do you want economics to be?
I recall 100lvl economics question- is economics a science or social science?
And we economist will say economics is an aspiring science, if not for "human irrationality "

Something like victimization... those students are on extension...

There’s a lecturer back then in that economics department... once you fail his 100level course ehn, just wait till final year to seat for it again.. because he will intentionally fail that person in second & third year respectively....

It beats me how a student who scored above 20% in CA could score less in an exam of 70% or so. These lecturers get joy at all?

Economics is the study of human behaviour (the key objective of the social sciences) in relation with it's ends and scarce means.
It cannot be termed under the "Natural sciences" because it permuates natural phenomenon and examines Human behaviour.
Go and read Karl Marx " Das Kapital" so you will understand.

As an Economist, I can relate...that's the most difficult course in the commercial field at the same time, a very fine course cool

Nah! Advanced Macroeconomics, and Macroeconomics in general is one of the most fun courses in an Economics programme. I think you meant Econometrics! Many Economics students would consider Econometrics as the most difficult. But then, curriculum differs from school to school. Even at that, many would still consider Econometrics as a nightmare.

Olodo ni OP. This result is for Guidance and Counselling Department (GAC) and they're all extra year students if you check their Matric. Numbers very well. They failed this particular course (ECO 402) cos they were not prepared.

It was obvious the Lecturer dashed them marks in the CA, at least to increase their chances of passing. Most extra year students don't have time to attend lectures.

Lecturers are bad, but let's be telling ourselves the truth sometimes.
Why would GAC undergraduate students take Eco 402 as an elective course? It is insane to me. They were the ones who prepared themselves to fail.

Please, I hope the person that made this post got the correct information about AAU, ECONOMICS Department,Ekpoma
Firstly: the Matric Numbers do don't reflect the School; the prefix:FED, Should depict Federal.
Secondly: GAC does not represent faculty of Social Sciences.
Thirdly: ECO prefix is not reflected too.
In conclusion, the matric Number of that Department goes thus: AAU/FASS/ECO/year of admission/1234

Fed=faculty of education

Nigerian lecturers can hoard grades for no reason.
I understand students are part of the problem but how do we explain mass failure in a class.

Them no buy handout
Them no buy textbooks
Them no sort lecturer
Them no attend lectures

The lecturer is not doing well
The students are not doing well
The Dean, or HOD is also not doing well.
Our educational system is dead.
