In the recently released movie HOUSE OF GUCCI, American singer and actress Lady Gaga starred as Patrizia Reggiani, an Italian socialite who was convicted in a highly publicized trial of hiring a hitman to kill her former husband Maurizio Gucci. The movie was curled from the real life story of the Gucci family which owns the popular fashion brand GUCCI.

After starring in House of Gucci as Patrizia, Lady Gaga came under criticism for her not so Italian accent, with fans claiming her accent was not purely Italian.

However, the actress has come out to defend her accent and portrayal of the role of Patrizia in House of Gucci. According to Lady Gaga, she studied so much for the role and even had a language tutor on set to guide her. She said her accent was intentionally the way it was in the movie.
