Ovamboland:Buhari or Fashola did not start 2nd Niger Bridge project, plz get your facts right. It was started by Goodluck. Goodluck did miscalculation. He wanted to settle the North first so they could help vote him in for second tenure, in which he would then execute his key projects but that calculation failed as North didnt appreciate his efforts but wanted their own Son Buhari instead 3 Likes 1 Share |

Newton85:Goodluck didn't neglect Igbos. Goodluck and Obasanjo recognized Igbo might. Goodluck broke the secret code that was created after the civil war that no Igbo man will become Chief of Army Staff. GEJ broke their heart and appointed an Igbo man into that position, that alone should tell you how much GEJ trusted and cherished Igbos and reason Igbos cherish and fight for him as their son till tomorrow. 4 Likes 1 Share |

I PERSONALLY THINK NIGERIA HAS BEEN GOOD TO THE IGBO PEOPLE. Even better than the SOUTH SOUTH PEOPLE WHO OWN THE CRUDE OIL WELLS IN THEIR NATIVE COMMUNITY IN NIGERIA. THE IGBOS ENJOY A LOT OF BIG FEDERAL JOBS IN DIFFERENT MINISTRY INCLUDING OIL COMPANIES. GO TO ABUJA, THEY ARE ALL THERE. WHAT ARE THEY STILL DEMANDING FOR? WHY THE NOISE ABOUT IGBO PRESIDENCY. THEY EVEN CALL IT IGBO PRESIDENCY. IT IS NIGERIA PRESIDENCY. GO TO ALABA INTERNATIONAL MARKET, LADIPO MARKET, LAWANSON, THE IGBOS ARE CONTROLLING MILLIONS DOLLARS TRADE BUSINESS. Not to talk of those in the black market of HARD DRUGS. Yes, International hard drugs from Instanbul, Turkey to Mumbai, India. |

franchasng: A mistake I learnt from. If any day I assume any political position, I’m starting to settle my constituency from the very first hour. Doesn’t mean I won’t work elsewhere but my people must know their son was in power even if I stay there for one month. |

clefstone:Your comment lack understanding and actual merit based on real facts on ground. Igbos are the only bridge interlinking all Nigerian tribes. Igbos are the only tribe that live peacefully in all parts of Nigeria contributing immensely to their host community's development. Igbos are the only tribe that have the highest investment outside their region (almost in all regions of Nigeria). Igbos are the only tribe that invest in all tribes without fear or prejudice, despite the widespread hatred and misinformation against them. So what are you saying? Is it Yorubas or Fulanis that hardly invest outside their region that have learned to live with other tribes? You guys just open mouth and talk without even reasoning 3 Likes |

Let's face it, you people are too greedy, the same thing was said doing the GEJ, yet, when he left office, you want to divide the country. What will happen when the next Igbo president leave office? Just say what you actually want, to be the president of Nigeria continuously. nairavsdollars: |

franchasng:So, this so-called "Igbo marginalization" only started under Buhari around 6 years ago? Lol. And please, can you show an irrefutable evidence for this "secret code" that no Igbo man would become the COAS? Who and who formulated this "secret code"? 1 Like |

franchasng: When Jonathan was president for almost 6 years and he was swarmed by Ibo politicians they did not do anything about any of the greatest desire of SE. There's no indication any president of SE extraction will do anything better. In any case Buhari you hate and Fashola you despise is already meeting one the greatest desire of SE, the second Niger bridge. Makes the work easier for the next leaders, you don't have to appreciate it but it will be standing as a testament of your false superiority complex. You will laugh that do much debt has been used to build the railway, then turn around to demand that more debt must be used to build brand new railway in the SE too. Can't you be consistent for once? Even the Lagos-Kano rail that will cost about $12bn has not been completed yet in addition to the expensive bridge under construction you must also have SGR railway at the same time. Are you the only region in Nigeria? Why are you so selfish? Which other region has a single 200bn bridge project? When did SE stop demanding the bridge from all the past govt? Only when PDP lost power that you know you don't need the bridge? |

Newton85:You are a commoner, you won't understand. The marginalization started since the end of civil war in 1970. Its a successive stuff. Only Goodluck and Obasanjo (1999 era) tried to reduce it. Buhari resurrected it as a known bigot he is, and Yorubas in their desperate clamour to produce next President are ampliying it |

franchasng:So-called "Igbo marginalization" is only in your own paranoid head. If you Igbos are crying about "marginalization", what should Ijaws, Urhobos, Binis, Efiks, Ibibios, Isokos, Idomas are other minority ethnic groups cry about. Go seek help for your persecution delusions. And you've still not told me the people responsible for this "secret code" that prevented an Igbo from being the COAS until GEJ's administration though. Another day, another 'Give the Igbo the presidency article'. Guys this is becoming embarrassing. Nobody is going to give Igbos the presidency. Its just not going to happen. Tell your people to stop talking and start working. I dont like Tinubu, but look at how he's working. Going all over the place, building alliances. What is Peter Obi doing? What is Orji Kalu doing? They are waiting for presidency to be dropped in their lap. They go wait tire 1 Like |

kponkedenge: I pity Nigeria, the question should be...what has been the benefit of Hausa, yoruba, Niger Delta Presidency to Nigeria after 61 yrs of INDEPENDENCE. Even the Igbo Presidency will never improve the wellbeing of Nigeria with the way our minds are currently programmed. As long is western nations are concerned we will remain impoverished and brain drained till thy kingdom come of we don't look inwards with love and oneness...the worst is daily influx of illiterates and thugs on this forum. clefstone: I would like for you to show me how the igbos state that their values are superior to others. The real issue is that the igbo man is not one that is subservient, allow an igbo man he will come to your village with a torn jeans and slippers poorly unkempt, the locals will be mocking him, but give that man 4years he would rent a flat buy a car and even commence building a new house in his village. An igbo man would in few years with determination overtake you the local in your area. That is what causes the fear from other tribes not the so called respect of values you are talking about. |

obynzo:I appreciate the tone of your response sir, it is greatly lacking here. That said, the bolded clearly explains what I cited as a shortcoming of the Igbo man and answers your question. You assume you overtake the local by becoming the richest person there. That is only according to your value system that places premium on money over everything else. Others are driven by other things which you must respect. The Igbo man just doesn't understand values differ. Other tribes do not fear Igbos as you assume, the truth is that other tribes do not like Igbos, pardon me but it's true. Do you agree with me that the Igbos were perhaps the most unexposed major tribe in Nigeria before the 1900s? 1 Like |
