Justification of the abuse they receive


The chief of why people continue being in an abusive relationship is the justification of the abuse they receive.


That's when we go into the meaning of the word 'Abuse'


Just like 'cheating', the meaning of the word abuse is relative - what you term abuse is not what another person terms abuse.


When you ask people in an abusive relationship why they are still in the relationship, most of them will tell you that their partner doesn't beat them.


The boyfriend/girlfriend might insult them in public, talk down on them, belittle them or shush them up in front of their friends and they will take it all in.


They won't tag it abuse.


I'll explain.


What most people in abusive relationships tag abuse is when they get slapped or beaten.


So even if they get abused emotionally, mentally or verbally, they won't take it as abuse as far as doesn't get physical.


Not that they don't take it as abuse per se, but that's their way of justifying the abuse they receive.


And you might be tempted to ask why someone (in his/her complete senses) would justify the abuse they receive in a relationship.


Well, it could be that the level of attachment is much, their investment in the relationship could be high or they're just afraid of starting all over, hence they justify their stay in the abusive relationship.


So what about those who still remain in an abusive relationship even when they are used as a punching bag?


It could be a whole lot of other things (outside of the first 3 reasons I listed) that a local man like thyself doesn't know.


In all, no reason is good enough for one to remain in an abusive relationship.

Those who stay inside an abusive relationship are simply love addict

Some people are just naturally fixed , they don't want to change, so when situation like this happen to them, they don't know how to move to the next step.... they enjoy staying in one place for long, moving is a problem to them...

U will see women being beaten by their spouse almost everyday and they will still remain with such men. Is it because of loves or something else.. I even heard that some of them love to be beaten by their husband and boyfriend.
