not calling me unexpectedly. Normal thing to do is to let you know on time at least 5 minutes before you offer the prayer. At least, that would be sufficient for you to prepare your heart for the prayer. Prayer for the congregation is a lot of work. You are presenting more than 100 people's interests to God in prayer. If you have stage fright you better deal with it before it deals with you. It can happen in any social gathering and you must learn how to compose yourself. We've seen host, musicians and comedians just pick someone random in the audience to say something. If it happen to you, you will melt into the ground and come online later to complain.

when I prayed to God, I used pidgin English, talk to him like he's my guy... which I know he understands.
but today I used the pidgin english, na laugh I got from the congregations... before I switched to english.. I had to use it....I don't like that.
I was not prepared, at that time thinking on how to drive home.. if I was going to branch a friend place or go home to eat first..or Branch a restaurant on my way driving.
so many thoughts.

If he could leave the elders in the church and give you such opportunity to grow yourself, it shows how he treasure your growth. Pastor really like young people and tend to always train them whenever they see them. During my service year, 2014 I went for early morning devotion which was usually organized by our Zonal Inspector. The Zonal Inspector wasn't around this time, he went to camp as usual for the new corpers . Different corpers all took the part that they could do well but when it got to the preaching they all faced me . I was shocked and I couldn't say no but to the glory of God, that was how my ministry started. After my ministration many of them came to hug me. Nobody ever believed that i have never preached before . Though I do spend quality time on God's word and listen to messages but I have never minister to such large crowd. After my service , I got to Port Harcourt, the pastor of my local church started using me to play assistant role. Meanwhile , I met so many people there but He rather focused on me. He finally got transferred and left the church for me . Your pastor sees something in you that he wants to build , give him the time . Don't kick against it. I am not saying you are going to be a pastor .
