It was a cool evening. We were both at a park. Lovers were around and that helped to heighten the emotion in the place. The flowers, the sight of lovers kissing and the soft music playing from a nearby bar, there all made the place magical.


I was at my best. I utilized my armory of words as much as I could, yet I never mentioned my intention. I kept hunting the periphery, letting her remain in guesses, wishing I come out plain, but I refused.


"The sky has never been this blue." I said.

"Really?" She said, more in a way that suggests she intends that I explain why I made such opinion.

"I have been here couple of times, the first time had a certain effect on me that has never been repeated. But today, I feel something different. And I know why."

"What then is the reason?"

"You?"


There was silence after I said this. I allow her reasonings play for a while. Although, she immediately reached for my eyes after I had said these words, she said nothing. She only expressed the look that revealed she was blushing. And yes, that was my intention, to make her blush.


The sun went farther away, and darkness began to rush in. For the records, she wasn't my girlfriend. Yes, not yet. I actually gave her clues that I had feelings for her, but I never went further. She expected me to come out plain today. But I had a different plan.
