Job Title: Loan Officer
Job Description:
- Source for new clients and assist prospective clients with loan applications.
- Portfolio management with full responsibility for its growth and quality (monitoring of disbursed loans, follow up on timely repayment, initiating and leading recovery activities, etc.).
- Effective relationship management through high client satisfaction, reaching a high ratio of revolving clients.
- Collection of detailed information (personal, business, and guarantees) in preparation of loan proposals as well as thorough evaluation and assessment of loan applications.
- Analyzing and interpreting financial statements of businesses, to access the repayment capacity and financial soundness of the loan applicants.
- Research and analyze market trend, competitors offering, demographics and other information that affect marketing strategy.
- Sourcing of clients within Lagos state.
- Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up loan payment plans
- Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
- Preparation and presentation of loan proposals to credit and risk assessment committee.
- Review loan applications to ascertain credit worthiness of clients.
- Collaborate with the communications team to introduce various offer to the target audience
- Conduct qualitative credit appraisal of clients’ employment status
- Rendering financial advice to clients.
- Ensure proper KYC are conducted on customers to ensuring high quality standards of the bank’s credit portfolio
- Interview applicants to define financial eligibility and establish debt payment plans.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Team Lead.

Relevant Skills, Qualification, Attributes & Experience
- HND or B.Sc. in Marketing or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years and more relevant work experience in Retail Loans or commercial setting.
- Excellent Analytical Skills.
- Excellent communication, reporting skills.
