It means spiritual death or separation from God. For example, Adam and Eve sin and they died(spiritually not physically) in the garden of Eden

Happy Sunday Nairalanders

Well, am sure we all are aware of the Bible verse that says "the wages of sin is death"
But to my knowledge,I find out that all humans must die and even some wicked people we know still live longer than the ones we call saints.

Sometimes, you will see some wicked people live so long till old age before they die and you will also see some kind hearted people dying young.

If the wages of sin is death, then why do this wicked people live long and why do we believe everyone will still die

I think there is more to this Bible verse than we see it

Please any one with good knowledge should explain. Thanks

I even think god does not care about us. That is why some people can do evil and escape punishment

That isn't what it means at all. The wages of sin— disobedience of God's commandments and teachings — as decreed by God, is death in Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 30.
15 “Today I have given you a choice between life and death, success and disaster.
16 I command you today to love the Lord your God. I command you to follow him and to obey his commands, laws, and rules. Then you will live, and your nation will grow larger. And the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take for your own.
17 But if you turn away from your God and refuse to listen, if you are led away to worship and serve other gods,
18 you will be destroyed(Death). I am warning you today, if you turn away from God, you will not live long in that land across the Jordan River that you are ready to enter and take for your own.
19Today I am giving you a choice of two ways. And I ask heaven and earth to be witnesses of your choice. You can choose life or death. The first choice will bring a blessing. The other choice will bring a curse. So choose life! Then you and your children will live.
20 You must love the Lord your God and obey him. Never leave him, because he is your life. And he will give you a long life in the land that he, the Lord, promised to give to your ancestors—Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20
As revealed in the passage above, the reward that awaited the sinners at the end was Death — perishing/cease in the grave— whereas those who lived righteously by the Law where promised Eternal Life by God. undecided

How does man's freedom to choose good or evil — freedom given Him by God — amount to God not carrying? What exactly do you want God to do? Stop men from doing evil against His own Will? undecided
