Come on Spencer is just Spencer. The reality is simple from what I've gathered. Though I'm not claiming to be 100% but look at the situation contrarily. The girl (who she was then) was conned and as she entered those doors which were shut behind her and couldn't get out. Don't forget both of them wanted to call it off but it was too late but by going in she felt she could make it work despite knowing Camilla was always there. She confessed to being desperate and jealous(why wouldn't she be at that age) at the end she accepted defeat.
