I think it's like a projectile motion. Just think of someone throwing javelin. The roof of OP is the final landing point, reason it could force it's way down the room

The story have holes.

There is no bullet hole on the bedsheet, if the bullet truly penetrated the ceiling, it will not just land sideways on the bed.

It will still have enough strength to at least bury itself inside the bed. And if you say, it penetrated the bedsheet, there should have been some bed fabric and thread stuck to the bullet.

My brother, if I did not see the bullet and the hole in the ceiling with how shaky and grateful to God they were, it would look somehow. Thank God I didn't have to see her husband's dead body to believe.

You can't be comparing a human skin to roofing material na. Abeg check it yourself. A roof has two major resistant sheets, the first which is the thick metal covering and the second which is either pop, or others. So yes your article is right in saying that a falling bullet can have the force potential to penetrate soft human skin and in rare cases kill but certainly not a roof. I still stand by what I said earlier that the bullet that penetrated that roof was not a falling bullet.

Look sis, the only way that can happen is if someone shot at the said house from a vantage position, Any detective from the west will be able to tell you the angle of trajectory of a bullet by examination this aspect or its flight path, this is how its worked out. So the house was the target rather than a stray bullet falling from the sky.

It's possible, I witnessed similar thing in 1999.. It pierced our roof and ceiling and dropped on the floor of our sitting room. The mark remains on the ceiling till date.

there are 2 possibilities here...
First d shooter may have shot at an inclined angle facing d roof of d house,, d house could be a storey building which d OP didn't state,,so at an inclined angle facing d roof of d storey building,, d bullet went in and came out thru d ceiling...

Second possibility is for d bullet to be shot into d sky at a momentum which is mass X velocity,, wen d bullet gets to it's peak,, it will descend back to d ground with almost d same momentum a little lesser than d ascending momentum bkos there will be minimal losses due air friction...so dat bullet is still potentially as dangerous as a bullet shot from d gun

Physics...projectile motion/velocity etc....makes this story unbelievable....unless the shooter is from a tall building/tree.
