Nigeria’s oil exports had always hovered around 2.5m bpd since the time of Abacha and now buhari is oil minister and his cronies are saying the export is now only 500k barrels daily coupled with the fact that they spend billions monthly on turn around maintenance of refineries that had not produced a bucket of fuel or kerosene since buhari became President. Buhari said he admires Abacha a lot, seems like he wants to surpass Abacha’s looting record

Because subsidy won't make them make adequate return on investment.

You cannot refine fuel above 200 naira and sell it at 163 naira and pay a subsidy that barely covers the difference between the cost of production and the government set price.

If you want working refineries, you should also be ready to let them make a profit
