APC, Will Be Profoundly Foolish making an Igbo man it's presidential candidate. by SaudanaofSokoto: 1:51pm On Dec 31, 2021 |
People may want to ask why? Simple, you cant eat your cake and have it and an Igbo candidature will be a lost to the party even between two Igbos because the PDP is their preferred party. As the 2023 general election draws nearer, the governing political party as I prefer to call them, would be so profoundly foolish handling over its presidential ticket to any aspiring presidential candidate from the South eastern part of the country. The reasons are not far fetch, they are alighted below: 1. There may not be the political party Calle APC anymore,if this great injustice is done to those part of the country that have been loyal to the party. Unfortunately this is what most of the people from the South east wanted, the destruction of the party they have no inpute in. 2. There will be disaffection among party faithfuls who will feel that they have been hard done by the political part they have laboured for. 3. I can bet this with everything I have, that the election will be a colossal failure for the APC,if an Igbo man is on balot paper. 4. APC,as a political party is not popular in the fairly popular in the SS and it is fairly popular in the SE! 3 Likes |

@OP. Not going to happen. You have a greater chance of seeing a Pig flying, if you look outside your window, than an Igbo becoming APC candidate. You got it spot on when you said the Party will implode if that happens. Do you know any father who leaves his Estate to the criminal, wicked, ungrateful and callous son who brought ruin and shame on him rather than the dutiful son who graduated first class, is gainfully employed, a pride to his community and his father's doting carer? 5 Likes 1 Share |

OP, I hope you have eaten grass today? Bothering yourself over people that don't even remember you. In an Igbo man's mind, his ony mission is to establish a separate country and live quietly while in these evil Nigerians' mind its only "Igbo this", "Igbo that." TUFIAKWA. Eat grass and be OK. 10 Likes 2 Shares

conductor890: Why are you lot begging up and down shamelessly for the Presidency then? Why are you people so vagrant and unable to stay in your SE then? Inagine 10 million Igbos in the SW na wetin? Is that the behavior of those whose "only mission is to establish a separate Country"? It is only you Igbos who dont see the big and hypocritical difference between what you say and what you actually do. 3 Likes |

South South region. So,therefore, the party should not expect the South South geo-political zone to vote for it's presidential candidate because of being an Igbo man! 5. Also, given the ticket to them would be tantamount to a betrayal of trust by the northern APC leaders especially the president who was supported mostly in the south by the South-West geo-political zone. 6. Now!equally very important, where will the funds for the presidential election comes from?knowing fully well that president Mohamadu Buhari will never bankroll anybody with public funds? 7. This may lead to Tinubu and his faction jumping ship and forming a new political party or stay put and be passive as to the happenings in the party or even pich his tent with Atiku Abubarkar without leaving the party since they are known to good friends thereby weakining the party. 8. What would be the faith of a strong APC region such as the South-West in the scheme of things. 9. People like Orji Kalu,Dave Umahi could not just wake up one day and joined the APC for the sole purpose of becoming president with its platform,ie on a platter of gold.is this how party politics should be played? 10. And finally, the clamouring for the post of the president by the Igbos, one may tent to believe that it has an ulterior motive. |

SaudanaofSokoto: Bro, only Igbos believe politics should be played that way because they are a very unpricipled, unfair and opportunistic people forever ready to reap where they have not sown. Unfortunately for them, most Nigerians dont share their crass opportunism, greed, lack of honour and dubious morality. Even amongst thieves there is honour. 2 Likes |

You sound so pained and disturbed, but Lemme patronize you. First, you raised more than 7 points and they are pointing to one subject. This means you have much time to waste. APC started in 2013/2014 and until then, no one was a member of APC. They were all members of legacy parties which include CPC led by Buhari ANPP led by Ogbonnaya Onuh ACN led by Tinubu APGA led by Okorocha PDP led by Atiku You can see that in the East, two persons were seated on the merger table. As if that wasn't enough, the Imo state citizens returned APC in the state and repeated same in 2019. This elections recorded more than 100k voters on each occasion. Doesn't Imo state pay their dues to the national purse? So those over 100k people shouldn't be taken serious? ACN has been in the East since 2007 simply because one man Ngige steadfastly stayed in the party. He won Senate in 2011 and came close to winning gov elections in Anambra state. At a point, ACN was 2nd highest in Anambra house of assembly. So you're telling me that those house members who are still following Ngige till today, those Idemili north voters should go to hell? So they didn't sow in the party? Since 1999, Ogbonnaya Onuh has been with APP and later ANPP. He give Buhari ticket against Rochas Okorocha and Okadigbo in 2003, and returned Buhari in 2007. He has been the longest serving chairman of the party and had to give up Bornu, Yobe, etc to the merger. To you, He didn't do much because he didn't kill himself for the party. But who actually killed himself for APC? If Tinubu leaves APC because they have the ticket to the East, then it's no longer the love for the party. It's quite unfortunate to read some of your takes because they smack of shallowness and emptiness. The only guarantee APC will have to win in 2023 is to give ticket to South East. The whole of South will back. If PDP dares give it to north, they will terribly lose the elections. But you're SarduanaofSpkoto, you don't see reasons. |

APC giving it's presidential ticket to an Igbo man won't be foolish rather it will foster unity, love and peace. In fact, the two major political parties (APC and PDP) should ensure that their 2023 presidential candidates are Igbos. This country did it in 1999 when the two major political parties then(PDP and APP) had their presidential candidate from the south west 2 Likes |

Igbo has no ambition as far as 2023 general election is Concern. If there's one, then it's for any Yoruba candidate not becoming president of Nigeria come 2023. That's their 2023 ambition 1 Like |
