We could also see a range and trend continuation. Dollar index fell massively today forming an outside bar. It's hard to imagine it reversing all the bearish move in one day. Also eurgbp, which correlates negatively to GBPUSD is still massively bearish. Flipping of these pairs to bullish momentum usually takes at least 2-3 days.
At best, I expect a range downtrend to key support levels. We will have more information on how to play the range game by 6-7 am tomorrow.

I always love when you critique my analysis… but stop making the mistake of thinking markets cant flip a bullish/bearish momentum in one day.. I’ve you forgotten how GU dropped 500pips in one single day.

Ok, Boss. I haven't seen market flip two day downtrend with outside bars in one day sha. So, on eurgbp, I don't expect anything other than range tmao. For GBPUSD, it is possible for a big downtrend like you pointed out. The main thing I think we need to see is a box range on 4hr by 11am. Anywhere from 1.124 looks like a good zone to enter possible shorts.

Boss, what lanshile means is that news does not change the overall structure of a chart based on TA. Earlier ydae, I pointed out the USD CAD will crash in spite of the fact that we all know we are supposed to be in a recession- I made this point based on its area on the chart. What happened next? Usdcad entered into a range at its swing low before news was released. Then the news pushed it above and gave a false breakout high. Since then, it has dropped by more than 180 pips.
Nothing about this move was strange under TA and intermarket analysis. News only ensured that the structure was completed at a very frenetic pace. News can't acct for EURUSD pumping by over 100 pips after Cpi looked to have tanked it but the rebound move could have been spotted via TA and intermarket analysis.
In summary, I have learnt that it is good to be aware of news because of the volatility it brings but relying on it to drive market beyond key support n resistance areas will not always work out as planned. Markets are more irrational than anyone thinks.

Day traders are caught up in the 2nd phase where stop losses are being hunted and accounts slaughtered (Market Makers in Action). It is advised that feeble minded and emotional traders trading with tight stop losses stay away from the market at least, 30 minutes before the news release and may resume later about an hour after the news release.
Position/long term trader (daily time frame and above) has little or nothing to worry about during these market phases. Why? Because after all the news gra-gra, it is either market continues with the general trend or begins a new trend shortly (reversal) according to Technical analysis. Fundamentals (news release) confirms the Technicals and acts as market catalyst.
