I received a text message to chat up 08181218077 for a remote job which I did. The suspected scammer told me to log in to www.jumia999.com to get started . (use to log in: 3683408720 Password: 123456). He the redirected me to sign up for my account on the said website which requires I put my bank card details.

Mumu. Them Wan scam you and you aided them.
After signing up with your bank details, make sure to get the bank details of your father mother, sister, cousin and nice.
Sign up with all of them since you are a BIG FOOL.
For this computer age, you wan fall for scammers. Good luck.

I got the same sms and chatted the number. I was informed it was jumia recruitment and the job is easy to do with only my phone. As soon as I saw the link i just moved on with my life...didn't even bother to open it.

I had to create nairaland account just to make sure I can comment on this regard.. jumia999.com is a scam. If you chat with dem, dey will be so nice and convincing and sincere at the beginning so u will invite friends and invest more b4 dey drop the bomb. i followed through and actually made some profit.. I for just comot early. But of course, greedy Nigerian me I invested more and was planning to invest way more because the more u invest, the more u earn.. and den dey Japa with my funds.. they ended up being a scam.. and blocked me out from logging in with all my money invested, till today, yet their Register button is still working. It means they are still hunting for fresh meat... Mind you, they might change name tomorrow but stay away from anything in this form to avoid "had I known"...

Thank God I didn't have to put in my bank details because we transacted using wallet address only. see proof below..
