Nairaland Crash Course by myike2(m): 8:29am On Jan 04, 2022 |
Hey guys, going straight to the point, I’ve been a Nairaland user for years now. Mainly, I come, catch up with posts, drop few comments (depending on my time availability at the moment), and leave. That has been my routine for years. But then I see and hear different things which I’m oblivious to. Here are a few things I don’t know how to do, but would like to learn. 1. I don’t know how to change my moniker 2. Is there a way to know if someone mentions my moniker or quotes my post, without me having to scroll through pages of comments first? 3. I’ve never been banned, but I hear people talking about others who violated one or some of the Nairaland rules. I’d please like to know what those rules are, or at least point me to where I can find them. 4. How do I maintain a thread? 5. I made a post a while back and tried deleting it, but couldn’t. Are posts permanent? 6. I always see lalasticlala’s name on every snake post, but don’t know the origin behind it. 7. I hear some slangs like afonja, BMC, manabbqgrills (or something like that), but don’t know what they mean It was only recently I learned what FTC means I’m almost certain I’m not the only one in this shoe. There are some persons in a similar situation (maybe even having more questions or needs more clarity than I do), but are too shy to speak up. Please mods (lalasticlala, mynd44, seun), move to the front page so that people could help answer some (or all) of these. At least, I know the names of 3 mods (hopefully I’m correct) 1 Like |
