What Is a Sales Strategy?

Sales strategy is a plan to achieve a sales goal and it is also what directs the selling activities of a startup business.
Your sales strategies will determine how your business will win and retain customers.

Four Sales Strategies

Here are the major four sales strategies that will boost your sales. It is called the 4 Ps.
This 4 Ps are used by businesses/companies to identify key factors for their business.
1. Product:
Product is the goods or service you offer. To be successful with your product you need to understand the life cycle of the product and deal with it at every stage. For instance, the type and value of product determines its price and buyer.
2. Price:
This is the cost one pays for a product or service. Make sure your price is equal to the value you provide because customers perceive value. However, don’t forget to consider other factors like discount but never at the expense of profit. Otherwise, why is it a business.
3. Promotion:
This is very important strategy in business. Promotion includes advertising. With promotion you reveal to customers why they need your product.
4. Place:
The location of your business also determines the sales level. For instance, selling high quality electronics in a rural area will attract poor sales. Currently, there are many ways to sell. Some of which are: Market place, Online [social media], E- commerce etc.
