It is alright to feel sad and unhappy about sad events but if it lasts more than two weeks then it can be depression. It is important to recognize depression when a person is in a state wherein, he/she feels sad and lonely for no reason. Only negative thoughts, feeling of regret, or victim surrounds him. This is a serious disease and is commonly found. Major depression or major depressive order can be classified as a mood disorder that has symptoms like low on energy, lack of interest, and not feeling hungry. Recognize depression in the initial state and it can be completely cured. If left unattended it can lead to major complications and in severe cases can lead to suicide. It can be periodic or consistent disorder. Symptoms Which Help Us in Recognizing Depression. 1. Feeling Low All the Time: Feeling sad or having a depressed mood always is a sign which helps in identifying depression. The person tries to stay alone and avoids people; refuses to go out for parties or picnics with family and friends and is low on energy always. He feels comfortable staying sad and finds it very difficult to laugh, smile, or be happy. 2. Overeat of Don’t eat at all: Depression often occupies the mind and keep indulged in negative thought. Hence, depending on person’s routine and habit, some prefer to eat a lot while thinking or feeling despair. Whereas, some don’t realize the hunger and often loose interest even in their favorite food and drinks 3. Low on energy and tiredness is another symptom which helps us recognize depression. A sudden drop-in activity and appetite make a person feel drained out and sick. Because the person is not moving around, not laughing, and not involved in physical activities the body doesn’t get tired and feel hungry. 4. Sleep disorders It starts happening and the person is unable to sleep properly; this again is a symptom to recognize depression. It is seen that slowly these people if not treated take refuge in sleeping pills or some other seductive. 5. Negative Thoughts Another symptom that helps in recognizing depression is when the person starts talking about his life being useless and feels guilty and responsible for things that didn’t go right in his life. He gets into being a victim or feels worthless and guilty for everything. 6. Speech Pattern Changes A changed pattern in speech and fidgeting every now and then gets evident and can be another way in recognizing depression. Continuously shaking legs, touching nose, moving hands, and not looking straight into eyes are all signs of nervousness and if these symptoms persist for more than two weeks is a definite symptom[/url] of depression. 7. Anxiety Concerns People in depression often easily get tensed. And this tension takes the shape of, nervousness, restlessness, or feeling tense emotions of danger, panic, or dread fast heart rate, fast breathing or heavy sweating trembling or muscle twitching concerns. Final Words These symptoms mentioned are quite common. And sometimes, in our hectic schedule of life, we often display this behavior. However, it is not necessary that you are in depression. To recognize it well, it is important to observe that if symptoms for more than two weeks, you might be struggling from major depression disorder. To understand it even better, it is always good consult the professional and share your thoughts. Always remember, It is absolutely curable and treatable!
