It's 2022 and to God be the glory, we have experience our first rain here in Benue state. This means that the 2022 farming season is officially opened.

The purpose of creating this thread is to look for a serious minded farmer in Benue or outside the state to partner me for the new season.

I'm not too lazy but my health is somehow failing me recently which is making me weak couplef with the fact that i don't have money to finance my farm. So I want someone who is interested to partner me financially, I will provide the land for free, I will also provide the yam seed and be taking care of the farm till it's time for harvest.

In a nutshell, a good spirited individual should invest in me and the farm, you can always come around for inspection and decision making about the whole farm will be in your hands.

sorry for the late response.

The amount needed will depend on the size of farm we are dealing with. example, one Line of yam which normally have 50heaps will produce 15yams and many seeds at the end of the season. now, if you want to make 20lines, that will be 50heaps times 20.

So the amount needed will depend on the size.



As for the amount , I just need small amount like 15k to clear the bushes.


in summary, let me give you an estimate for 10 lines of yam.


1. you will clear the bush cos burning it up is not good.
10k can do this.

2.Arrange the cleared bushes. you can do this yourself cos it's not difficult however, 2k can do it

3. Pay people to make the heaps. 20lines will cost 10k or less.


4. you will now plant the yam seed, it is always recommended to do this yourself too. this is because, if you did not plant it well by putting the yam seed where it will not germinate up, that particular heap will be wasted. there is time for replacement though.

5 you will cover the each heap with the bushes you earlier cleared.

6. buy pre-emergency and spray. this will cost like 6-7k.

7. when bushes start to grow, you will buy herbicide and spray to kill it. this will also cos 6-7k

8. when bushes start growing again, you will pay women money to weed it. this will cost 10k or less.

9. buy fertilizer and put on each heap. this will cost 15k or less depending on the current price of fertilizer.


10: you will weed the farm again for the last time.


note:
I just did a estimate, I might even forgot to put all steps.





lastly, after everything stated above, you will have like 300-500pieces of yam and many yam seeds capable of making a 50line yam farm the next year. you can even plant cassava together with the yam.
