2023: Counsel Tinubu To Step Down For Osinbajo, Ajulo Urges Fmr. President Babag by Eventdiarylifes(f): 9:19pm On Jan 20, 2022 |
An Abuja based lawyer and Coordinator, Progressive Lawyers For Osinbajo, PYO, Dr. Kayode Ajulo has called upon the Former Military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida to advise the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to shelve his presidential ambition for Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN. Ajulo, former National Secretary of Labour Party gave this advice while reacting to news of Tinubu's visit to Babangida in Minna this afternoon. He said the ex-military president who had encountered such senario is in the best position to advise the former Lagos State Governor. "It should be recalled that President Babangida in 2007 after signifying his interest to run for the office of the President withdrew the bid for President Umaru Yar’adua on the ground that Yar’adua was his younger brother. "Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the political leader of Prof. Osinbajo. In fact, he was a major influence on how the VP got his present position and I am sure he's proud of his numerous achievements. Asiwaju will do well to throw his weight behind the VP to become the next President". Ajulo said.

Opinion is cheap The Asiwaju Tinubu train has left the station. Asiwaju Tinubu was in Niger State to commiserate with the great people of Niger State and only chose the opportunity to call on the Elderstatesman IBB, it wasn't a counselling session. Ajulo's suggestion is hypocritical when it's from a supposed pro democracy lawyer but mediocre politician like Chief Ajulo, who is well known in political circles as errands boy of PDP's HE Mimiko, is aware of the undesirable democratic credential of IBB still requests that same IBB to counsel a full democrat like Asiwaju Tinubu to abandon his life long ambition to serve his fatherland at the highest level of governance starting from 2023. Chief Ajulo is still doing the work of HE Mimiko by promoting a PDP agenda they bank on APC to be naive enough to throw up a less strong contender like PYO against a strong and tactical HE Atiku. Truly, it's hypocrisy or just another infantile attempt by another unpopular politician like Senator Shehu Sani to use the name of Asiwaju Tinubu to trend and hit the FrontPage of nairaland. My appeal goes to fellow patriotic Nigerians to please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. Asiwaju Tinubu is an experienced public administrator and a Patriot. Asiwaju Tinubu is extremely capable and competent to lead Nigeria to greater heights. Please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. May God bless you and may God bless Nigeria forever. 4 Likes

Baawaa: Exactly. He's beginning to annoy me with his cowardice. He should come out and declare like a man, instead of using proxies. And this talk of another candidate stepping down for him is also rubbish. If he is man enough for the ticket, he should go ahead and fight for it like a man rather than begging another candidate to step down for him. 4 Likes |

Osinbajo is qualified to run for president on his own merit. He doesn’t need Tinubu to step down before contesting. This is a democracy and all qualified and interested person should be encouraged to contest. Bola Ige did not ask Alayande to step down for him before declaring his intention to be the governor of old Oyo state in 1979 despite Awolowo’s support for Alayande. He contested against the old man and won. In 1999, Falae did not ask Bola Ige to step down for him. He contested for the AD ticket and defeated Bola Ige. Asking that someone step down before declaring for a position is undemocratic and does not show seriousness. 6 Likes 1 Share |

TINUBU DID NOT MAKE THEM, HE EXPLOITED THEM By Ayo Turton What human capital has Tinubu developed gan an? I am sick and tired of hearing this argument. Let's break this down. At best, Tinubu's relationship with these guys has been symbiotic in the best scenario for him. Was it Tinubu that made Osinbajo the Professor he is, or Tinubu needed his brain to run his government? When he got jammed up with Obasanjo, it was Osinbajo that came up with a legal solution for him and they won serially in courts. For your information, Tinubu was against his becoming the VP. He reluctantly agreed when he had no choice. Was it Tinubu that made Fashola Senior Advocate of Nigeria? He only tapped into Fashola's brain to make his government look good. The benefit was mutual. The moment Fashola's profile started rising above his own as Governor, he tried to stop him from getting a second term. What they play now is a cat and mouse game. The relationship has never been the same. Ambode was the Chief Accountant of Lagos State that came up with the plan to raise the State IGR that they are enjoying today. Now they are no longer friends. He threw him under the bus. Fayemi was one of those eggheads that fought with NADECO during Abacha infamous days. Tinubu only occasionally supplied funding. The moment the Northerners suggested his name as a running mate to whoever emerges as President from the North, at the early stage of forming APC, Tinubu went against him. The relationship has gone down south since then. Mamora is a suave and an urbane gentleman and a Medical Doctor to boot. He was simply one of the best Senators of his time. The moment his profile started rising in Abuja, with the potential to overshadow the landlord of Lagos, the ticket was taken from him by Tinubu and given to his wife. Aregbesola was the most loyal to Tinubu of all those followers; now, the relationship has gone south. Therefore, he uses these people as tools rather than their destiny helper. The moment their profiles started to rise, he would attempt to stop them. He thinks he is the one to determine how far destiny can carry them. This is a guy who destroyed all the powers that made him from AD days. I am sick and tired of the platitude. Buhari that completely shut Tinubu out of his governance for 7 years is unlikely to hand over to him. What about supporting a younger Osinbajo or Fashola for the position if he is altruistic in growing talents? ©️Ayo Turton |
