Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist - Next class starts July 5, 2011

PHICON Corporation (Public Health Informatics Consultants) sponsors a nationally recognized introductory certification course in electronic health records technology (CEHRS) for professions in IT, healthcare or basic sciences that wish to transition to the field of health information technology.

In January 2011, the federal and state governments started the implementation of Electronic Health Records nationwide. There is presently an unprecedented need for Certified Electronic Medical Record Specialists nationally.

This introductory certification facilitates improving your job prospects thus allowing you to transition into a career that helps medical practices and hospitals transition from paper based medical records to electronic medical records by receiving the Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) Certification.

The PHICON Institute for Health Informatics is offering a 10 week nationally recognized certification course (NHA Certification). The Certified Electronic Health Specialist course is recommended for the following groups or individuals:

1. Electronic Medical Record champions, helping hospitals and physician practices to implement new systems for their facilities

2. Graduates of university health informatics programs planning to specialize in Electronic Medical Record Implementation

3. Individuals with a health or information technology background looking to begin a carrier in health information technology.
