Hello great people,

I have a family friend who applied for a student visa with dependent and kids to travel.
A decision was made, passports of the dependent and kids were delivered with visas but the principal applicant’s passport is still with VAF.

A call was placed to the home office about the application, applicant was informed that decision has been made and they will escalate the issue.

It has been more than 2 weeks since decision was made.

What is the best action to take?

Uploading documents is when you have finished your visa application and submitted it.

You have to go back into the link and select your appointment on TLS

Self service will be when you upload it yourself,and assisted is when a staff of TLS uploads it for you

I sent a paid email and i was told i should wait 15working days (i think it's a generic response). please my question is, can i reapply again immediately or i should wait 3 months again before reapplying?

Wait.... till you can see the reason why you were refused before re applying,so the refusal letter would tell you if you are to re apply immediately or not,but always check uk general visa application.

Exactly but their excuse is not lame ...its the reality and may become the norm for other schools from next academic session to tightening their financial requirements like pay in full or something ....I'm just saying before people misconstrue it to mean its in force

If 3rd August is not too far for you. Go to VI TLS and book now. It's available

So I had to pay 55pounds for a UKVI service on the TLS portal VI before i could book my appointment. Does anyone here know what the payment is for?

I believe TLS Abuja is fast. Applied for 4 dependants visa 4th July and got a collection mail yesterday.

Don't dwell too much on the initial refusal take the right steps going forward.

It would be better to wait for the stipulated period. if you don't get the response after this then send another email. knowing the reason your initial application wasn't successful is always important so you can correct the errors or leverage the additional information boxes in your next application to clarify any grey areas. Reapplying immediately, blind, gives off the vibes that you are desperate. This shouldn't be how you would want your application to be perceived.

Hello House. Thank you Mod for all your help. Please I have an issue. I am the primary applicant for my family. When booking for a biometrics date, I was able to get 5 August for my spouse and I. But when booking for our dependents I got 28July at Abuja centre. Will my spouse and I be able to piggyback on our children's appointment so they can attend to all of us?
