Hello good people,

Please when I was filling my application form for MBA at UCW. I got to foundation study grant, I was asked ""would you like to apply?"" and I was also asked to upload personal statement in the first column and the second column

Am I suppose to upload my personal statement into the two places or just upload on one place?

Should I pick yes that I want to apply for foundation level course?

Gurus in the house should put me through and if you have applied to this school before please put your boy through.

Do you have to tell the visa officer that you took a loan? Go with your sponsors statement of account, and keep mute about the loan.
Taiyejenny:

Mpower has few schools they support in Canada, go to their site n check if your school is among the school they support,if it’s among them you’re eligible for Mpower loan,
Their repayment is 10yrs
It takes like a week bfr approving the loan…. The loan will be disbursed to your school account few weeks bfr resumption … you can use the loan approval letter to apply for study visa; but I’m yet to meet who they gave visa with Mpower loan

My school is eligible but I’m scared of taking the loan since repayment is 10yrs … how will I explain to the visa officer that I took a loan and the repayment is 10yrs when I’m still trying to convince them I’ll come back to my country after study….

It depends on the time you submit an application to the school
Like for fall 2023 now you need to submit an application to school let say September 2022.
Well, that's how I did mine Sha.
Peace

Ok, How long does it take before you got letter of accceptance from them please
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Kuze1: 8:39am On Mar 16, 2022
Hello house, I discovered this after I had submitted. My situation is I have a previous Masters in project management from the UK; this was in 2009. I have applied for a Masters in the same course but with a data analytics direction in Canada. The primary reason I’m going this route is because my 1st child is presently in senior secondary school and I want to prepare for when she will be going to University so that the huge university fees can be reduced for herself and her siblings. I’ve been to Canada before on a visiting visa as I have an older sibling who is a medical doctor and a Canadian citizen. I also indicated that I would be living with her for the duration of my 2-year course.

I tried express entry but age is no longer on my side as I am 43. I stated in my application that my husband is my home tie as he will remain in Nigeria for the duration of my studies; the plan is to apply for him and the children after I receive mine. I got an Mpower loan to support my application for my entire school fees and have about N10m of my own money as I indicated that I am self sponsored.

I have been in my present job for a 10years period and provided supporting documents from my office and details of property owned by my spouse. I applied via the new portal. I’m just a bit apprehensive looking through the previous posts and wondering what my chances are

Taking a loan is not a problem, in fact IRCC accept it has means of POF. So far you attach the official loan letter, they'll confirm from the lender organization.

Vaccine collection everywhere is free. QLIFE could add that to their policy as they have increased their fee for medicals so please misleading information shouldn't be shared. Till today, Covid Vaccine collection is free at all collection centers. There are centers that have been collated by NCDC which you can see online
Thank you.

Because of his lack of transparency he'll be refused. There's nothing wrong with Mpower loans. People have used it and been given visas too.

LONGGGGGG POST ALERT!!!

Guys I really do not know where to start from!
I'm short of words. God's just too good to fail.
I'm still in shock cause I can't really fathom why my application was this quick or why I was just favoured, but I give God all the glory! For he alone is to be praised!

I've been following this thread for about 4yrs now. Just observing with no plans to submit my application. Was just here for the information basically, and to read people's process (which I enjoyed doing) didn't even know I'd eventually apply.

Time came for me to apply, I was scared to the Bone! I was scared to doing it myself! My sponsor (brother) literally begged me to look for an Agent to handle my application, I was skeptical at first, but I succumbed cause I didn't want any issue or stories that touch.

I contacted an agent on this platform, he charged me 150K for admission and 250K for Visa. My sponsor agreed to pay for the first stage (admission). Las las I eventually paid 190K for only admission!!! Only school admission ohhh!!!

Then it was time for Visa Application, and I was told Visa Fee has increased to 300K. And I was like hell No!!! I no go school? Am I daft? No! I can do this shi# myself. 300K no be 300 naira.

That's how it began, took a leap of faith and decided to do and handle my Visa Process myself, and God blessed me with the GOLDEN Mail (PPR)! Guys please do this stuff yourself!
You can do it! Yes YOU! You can!
There's nobody else that cares about your application than you! You don't need any agents NAIRALAND is the real deal! NAIRALAND taught me everything I know and used to get my Approval.

I'm a FIRST TIME APPLICANT, my timeline goes thus, I used the NEW PORTAL,

Upfront Medicals - 22nd November 2021
Application Submitted - 29th November 2021
Biometrics Completed - 3rd December 2021 (updated same day)
Upfront Medicals Updated - 6th December 2021
Then the wait........................^_^
Eligibility Review Started - 25th January 2022
Then a good man, a blessing, friend turned brother, a brother from another mother, Teemenzo (God bless you for me brother, he has always been with me from the beginning of my application) adviced me to send a mail to Abuja which I did, I eventually, reluctantly sent to everybody (London, Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja) yesterday, 26th of January just to disturb then. Hello Paskimoney

If your application has passed the approved processing time, then follow the guidelines below:

Find below the emails addresses of the concerned Offices and also the Webform for Nairobi office..

Send at least 5 mails everyday to this Offices, do not copy any office when sending the mail, send individually to each Office... Let them know that your application is far delayed and your resumption time is getting close(For May 2022 applicants) and you need final decision from them so you can prepare yourself adequately for your resumption date.

House do i need English proficiency test results for study permit even though the school waived it
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by makano: 10:57am On Mar 16, 2022
Hello Illumined

This is a very wrong statement.

There is nothing wrong in getting a loan from a recognised body such as Mpower.. So far the applicant has all the documents from Mpower to back up the loan granted to him. Most Indian applicants apply with the loan they get from financial institution in their country, and they get PPR everyday compared to Nigerians..

So there is nothing wrong in getting loan form a recognised financial institution, you just have to back up your claims with genuine documents..

If you are not sure of what to say, its better you keep mute than confuse the house with wrong advise..

Its not needed for Canada study permit application..

Except you wanna show the Visa officer that you can speak and read in English, which isn't necessary cos your WEAC has taken care of that..

@makano. Thank you i thought of that but using a dollar card comes at a higher rate. for example to use barter card for $150 thats around 85k at the rate of 540 something.

what other dollar merchant do you suggest i can use ?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by makano: 11:29am On Mar 16, 2022
You have no option though since our leaders have made it more difficult to use our naira card to make international transactions..

The $100 is in CAD though and not USD, so it shouldn't be up to 540..

Alternatively, if you have a trusted person in Canada, he or she can be of help..
