Please guys, do VFS (especially Abuja) acknowledge receiving passport for stamping?
DHL tracking shows the passport has been delivered on monday morning - 9am, but till now I didn't hear anything from VFS.
Please, do I need to fill anything to get notification?
Anyone who recently sent passport to Abuja for stamping.
I think maybe you didn't write your email on the envelope you sent.

I think study visas should be for kids from school age (5-6 and above). For the US kid, you don't need to apply for because she doesn't need a visa. It would be wise to state in your SOP that she is accompanying you for certain reasons since you are applying for the other kid.
Some have travelled with their US kids without stating it in SOP, while some stated it. Everyone’s application is unique.

All the best.
Thanks

Your daughter with a US citizenship does not need a visa to travel to Canada. You can apply for a study permit for her. For the Nigerian citizen, you can apply for either a visitor visa or study permit. She can study with a visitor visa as long as she is not taking a post secondary education.
I appreciate

Every school has its own policy when it comes to refund . Secondly if you read well at the end, I said it is the best option for someone who doesn't want to return home to apply for a new study permit .
So if you look at it either ways if you decide to go back to your country to reapply or change school after attending the first school for weeks or months you would loose some money. So it's all up to you to make a decision that would be most favorable.

Alright boss

Upload the upfront Medicals again.

Nwachinemelu226:
Good evening everyone,

I did upfront medicals on May 9 as I submitted my application on the 19th of April. Two weeks ago, I was asked to submit my medicals. I have raised CSE, sent emails informing ircc about the upfront medicals but my application has still not been updated. I have sent emails to all the email addresses provided on this platform. I don't know what else to do. The 30 days given would expire soon.

Please any advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Hello Gurus in the house, I really need your help!!!!

Program: PhD
Sart date: Fall 2022

Visa Application details:
Applied: April 15, 2022
Medical (Upfront) : April 20, 2022 (passed)
Biometrics Enrolment: April 20, 2022
Biometrics - May 6, 2022:Completed.

Have been waiting for their feedback but I just received news from Australia. My study permit has been granted and I am expected to arrive in Australia before July 11th. Just wrote this email via the IRCC webform and thought I should share it.

Dear IRCC,
I applied for a study permit and was hoping I'd know the results of my application sooner to help me plan for travel and enrollment into the PhD program.

Alongside my acceptance by a Canadian university and the subsequent Student Visa application, I also had been accepted by an Australian university and have been granted an Australian student permit; however, Canada is my first choice and I would appreciate it if the results of my Canadian Visa application are provided sooner (within this month- June 2022).

It wouldn't be a wise decision to keep waiting in uncertainty while the clock ticks toward my enrollment date in Australia (July 11 2022).
I would really appreciate it if my application is evaluated sooner. This would help me make necessary travel plans among other necessary decisions.

I am really looking forward to a timely response in the hopes that my student visa application is successful.
Thanks in anticipation of your reply.

from the email, you can understand what my problem is and why I need an urgent response.

What would you advise?
Should I just carry my bag dey go to Australia or wait it out?

Please feel free to be as brutally honest as you can... I am a Nigerian living in Asia (also currently enrolled in a PhD program that I'd have to dump for better soil and opportunities).

All feedback is welcome at this point and I am REALLY craving your responses.

Thanks in anticipation.

Vfs should be mailing you updates regarding your envelope ID number and you can also use it to track the activity in vfs website. That’s how mine was done and I didn’t fill any special notification stuff

I reached out to an MP through my supervisor and this is the summary I got from the MP's office

Study Permit received October 30, 2021
Medicals Passed and valid until May 4th, 2023
Criminality Passed
An interview was recommended for Eligibility assessment (waiting for this)
Security not initiated

Last GCMS Notes I ordered stated that "Based on the LOA, funds, and documents provided, PA appears to be a BF student."

Please what are your thoughts about this?

Please did you do an upfront medical? i submitted my application since april 26. but i didn't do an upfront medical. biometric was updated same day i submitted because i had already applied for a visit visa in 2019 and i was denied. so i only inputed my biometrics information. But i'm yet to get any new update since april. is the medical the reason i'm yet to get any response?

As an applicant that has a sponsor, am I suppose to submit the normal bank statement or My bank statement designated for visa purpose?

If you declare that you're gainfully employed you should at least show some certain amount in your account let say between 500k to 1M.

It will end in praise
