1. When reapplying, am I to tackle only the reason for my refusal or I have to submit proof for every category again? You have to meet the requirement for every aspect of your application in this new application. If you focus only on the reason for the previous refusal, the visa officer can refuse your application with a new reason. Therefore, you must submit proof of sufficient funds, employment, ties, education etc. 2. Since I am unable to gain access to the Sop submitted for my first application, what do I do? Do I go ahead with writing an LOE to clarify the VO on the reason I was denied in my first application or Would the gcms note provide clear details of what was written in my SOP? My advise would be to wait for the GCMS note. Although the GCMS note will not contain all the information written on your SOP, it will have the details on why your application was refused. The refusal letter you receive is generic. Meanwhile, you can start drafting your SOP and finalizing it when you receive the GCMS notes. 3. Must I submit payslip? Payslips are not mandatory. However, it will help convince the visa officer that you indeed work for the company, especially if your salary does not reflect in the bank statement. 4. How do I go about the reapplication by myself. Firstly, I learnt I would need to download the “use of representative form” in order to cancel the rights of my representative. Secondly, how do I submit it? Is it through webform or along with my second application documents? The Use of Representative form (IMM 5476) you signed with the consultant/lawyer was for the refused application. Since a decision has been made on that application, the person is no longer your representative for this new application and will not access it. In other words, there’s no need to submit IMM5476 to cancel the representation. Considering the total cost of your tuition and living expenses, if your mum doesn’t have a source of income, spending 61K out of the 85K seems unreasonable even if you are the son. Did you submit proof of source of income for your mum? An employment letter and if self-employed, proof of business registration? jago2016: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Ableman101: If your school doesn't mandate you pay, it's not necessary. There are occasions I do advise people to make a full year tuition fee payment: one of these occasions is when the VO is in doubt or has concerns about third party sponsor readiness or ability in releasing or committing the fund shown for study purpose. In fact, I do advice the applicant to add GIC if need be. These options are fashioned for various specific case scenarios and does not apply to everybody. |

Oyalfares: Hello house, I got study permit from Nigeria to Italy, after school, got work permit and work and then return to Nigeria. Now applying to Canada study permit, in the study application form, under section for previous travel and purpose of visit, if I put study and after study work, would this affect my application to Canada? Wouldn't Canada say my purpose of visit to Canada is not consistent now? Abi I overthinking ni |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Oyalfares: 5:46am On Jun 29, 2022 |
First of all what did you study in Italy and what level of education? What work did you do in Italy after that? What do you intend to go for in Canada? If you can align all these together the Visa Officer can be convinced. It's all about alignment of purpose and financial proof. Lezy: |

Hello House, I have a lady in question that has finally submitted her student permit application but she did not manage to do her pre-medicals exam. The application is waiting to be processed after one month of submission. Can she still go ahead with medical exams? how can she do medical exams and send it to officer? Does she has to wait until officer tells her to do medicals before she can do that since she has submitted the application? I will appreciate any ccontribution. Thanks |

Gokoyer0: Medical Examination does not stop visa application processing unless IRCC has asked for it and it has not been submitted. This means the application is still being processed, when they get to the point where they need medical examination, IRCC will surely reach out to you and ask. An applicant can submit medical examination report upfront to hasten the processing. The followings are the email addresses you can send your upfront medical report to: Webform– Nairobi. https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=Nairobi Canadian High Commission, Nairobi nrobi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca nairobi@international.gc.ca Canadian High Commission, Lagos lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by ShowYoung: 7:33am On Jun 29, 2022 |
Ghazali34: This is possible provided the following conditions are met; 1. Your brother must use his account number. 2. Your brother has not utilised his quarterly FX allocation and will not be exceeding it if your payment is added. I advise you go back to the bank and have your BVN details updated with correct information. |

Lezy: Staying in a foreign country as a student and utilizing work permit after your study is not an issue. It in fact would give weight to your application depending on how you package your application. In as much as you left the country at the right time you were supposed to, you should even build on that fact. |

I was thinking since there’s space to enter account number to be debited I can input my bank details there. ShowYoung: |

Good morning, ShowYoung. I have a question, are we only allowed to send webforms to the Kenyan office? I'm asking this because I sent emails to like 10 different email addresses including London, Kenyan, Beijing, Lagos, Accra, Cairo, Pretoria etc about my biometrics not changing to Completed but it was actually the Beijing people that replied me this morning that they've fixed it and I checked the portal and the biometrics was showing Completed. So I'm wondering if I can also send a webform to Beijing office regarding medical not updated as well since they seem to be the only one taking things serious. ShowYoung: |
