Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, says the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) is determined to ensure things are done right and committed to the progress of the people and the country.

Osinbajo made this known when he received a delegation of the Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria, led by their President, Dame Gonsum at the Presidential Villa, on Tuesday.

According to a statement by his spokesman, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo reaffirmed the Buhari government’s resolve in ensuring things run smoothly in the country.

The statement was titled, ‘Give It To The President, He Is Fully Committed To Our Progress As A Nation – Osinbajo’.

The VP was quoted as saying, “One thing that is certain is that there is a determination on the part of the president to ensure that things are done right.

“That is a genuine commitment. He has spent most of his life in public service at various levels. One thing that is evident is that if there is anyone committed to the progress of this country, he is.”

While addressing the concerns around the challenges in the country, Osinbajo highlighted the role of civic and social leadership in also tackling the issues.

“There would be times a country is faced with challenges, it is the leadership and not just political leadership, but I mean civic and religious leaderships such as yourselves who rise in support of the country by way of prayers, encouragement, and admonition,” he added.

Governance is not easy, as a leader, when you have good intentions but the people surrounding you keep sabotaging your efforts, the outcome wouldn't be nice. This happen everywhere.
This administration has tried tremendously amid challenges

Osinbajo, you don't need to drown with Bubu and his ineptitude. Just maintain your lane until this administration peters out.

It's unfortunate you're serving under the undisputed heavyweight champion of incompetence!

You're talking absolute rubbish!

The president has the overall power to hire and fire and as such determines who surrounds him!

Nepotism will not allow him choose the best hands so how will the country progress? If you need surgical operation, will you go to the person you know or the one whose competence has been established?

See citizens giving excuse for failures meanwhile all Bubu's children are floating on top of money

That is Osinbajo that want to be president. Totally clueless as to what leadership entails. We can't have PMB 2.0.
Osinbajo is a leadership disaster like his boss Buhari.

grin It ain't hard to tell bro. By their comments, they are always found out.
What beats me though is that Nigerians are a people who are mediocre in their expectations from government; give us something - just something tangible - and we'd be out there in the streets, praising you to the high heavens.
But when you have wicked, soulless people in power, even the littlest service to the people becomes a hard ask.

Worthless leaders!!!

Yet after admitting the buhari led government failed, the poster is now campaigning for buharis vice to take over and do what exactly?

Buhari will handle security while osunbande will handle the economy. We have now seen how far they both went with that.

If Osibanjo becomes the next president, he will cover all the corruptions of this present administration.
Voting PDP would have been better but they might continue from where they stopped.
Voting a new party would have been better but Nigerians will likely not vote a new party, if they do, the bad eggs in APC and PDP will decamp to the new party and pollute it.
Let NASS make a bill to stop politicians from decamping from one party to another at will.
