I can't believe people sat down and sited a refinery in kaduna
the refinery sited in Kaduna was to help minimize the use of just trucks for transportation and nothing more. So that's why the pipes are passed all from south to Kaduna refinery

On the other hand, the more we spend on subsidies, the more we would need to take loans to meet our needs.

Subsidy, and regular government spending depend on the price of the crude oil we sell. When we spend more on subsidy, we have less money to spend on other things...and thus we have to take more loans.

Which is bad news for poor Nigerians. [s]Removing subsidies would at least mean more investment, more jobs, more profit, and more money...which can benefit poor Nigerians.[/s]

Wer*y keep deceiving yourself and the f**ls zombies lol.....

N3 trillion at the official rate (since it is govt expenditure) is approximately $7billion. What this means is that by far the largest single annual expense of the Nigerian govt is on petroleum subsidies. Just let that sink in for a moment. To the best of my knowledge there is no single govt project or expenditure that costs $7B, talk less of $7B in a single year. Imagine how many schools or how many roads, how many hospitals, how many airports, power stations, rail lines etc we would have or how better they would be if we spent $7B annually on just 1 of those items each year for the next 4 years!!!

So. let government then remove the subsidy, let the market set the price, then the money can be spent on all those things you want.

Simple. smiley

I pity nigeria
If there's coup or revolution there'll be alot of executions
It will be merciless!, just as they're merciless in stealing the country dry while hunger, killings, kidnappings and corruption thrives

Why can't we just put into good use PORTHARCOURT refinery and the one in Delta state and save us this stress. We just have greedy leaders, middlemen and citizens

How will they steal money if the refineries are working? Did you notice the speed in which they came up with the cost of subsidies for 2022?

Nigeria has been spending between $4-12 billion on oil subsidies. GEJ should have removed the subsidies in 2012 but he was a coward and backdown.
