Ever heard the phase "you're a sum of your habits'?. There is no context Where this is more true than when it comes to being rich.

The major differences between the rich and the poor is the habits they exhibit when it comes to finances.

While the rich exhibit habits that make they get even more money, the poor are known to consciously or unconsciously (without any forethought) spend money recklessly and this makes them broke more often than not.

That said, here are 6 habits the rich have that poor people don't.

Let's go

1. They avoid bad debt
You must have heard the word "bad debt" before right? It's a financial term used to explain a debt taken that Isn't used to do something productive that could be used to pay back the debt. For example taking a loan to sponsor a party that doesn't yield any monetary returns.

The rich take loans to invest in opportunities or in themselves or their children. When the rich take loans they are usually directed towards opportunities that could earn more money or give some other forms of productive returns.

A lot of people are being crippled by bad debts. If you want to be rich you must avoid bad debts.

2. They invest
The rich are known for self investments and risk taking. Most rich people have lost a lot of money investing in other opportunities but they have also gained their wealth by taking those investment risk.

The best form of investment is self investment and that will guide your decisions and investments in other opportunities thereby reducing the risk.

When the poor man invests he invest in projects and opportunities he has little knowledge or skill about. These are usually Ponzi schemes or scams that promised very high reward with little or no work involved.

The rich avoid this type of investment because they know they are not feasible and I simply used to scan them and they are able to know this because it started with self investment.

If you wish to be wealthy start with self investments.

3. They live within their means or increase it
This is one of the biggest secrets of the rich. The rich live within their means they do not spend more than they earn where is the poor man is always trying to live above his means and tends to spend more than he earns.

This is why the poor Man always ends up in debt because he is always trying to buy properties or get services that are just above what he can comfortably afford.

Take a look at some of the richest men in the world they dress plainly this isn't to be humble it's simply a habit they have learnt over the years of living within their means that has become a part of them even though they are really wealthy.

If you're going to be rich you must learn to live within your means or find ways to increase your means of income.

4. They have multiple income streams
There is a popular saying the average millionaire has over 7 sources of income. This isn't Just a trusim, it's very real.

The rich invest in creating other sources of income so that they do not have to rely on one source of getting money.

The poor man on the other hand will rely mostly on his job and will not try to get other sources of income, learn new skills or offer services to others to make more money. He won't even try to get better at his job so as to get a higher pay.

5. They budget & save
This is not a secret. The rich are the best savers and always stick to budgets.

The rich are always saving a portion of their income keeping emergency funds and budgeting every amount of money that comes to them.

This is one habit you should adopt to gain riches.

6. They seek advice
No man is an island. No one knows everything not even the rich and this they know.

One top quality of the rich is their ability to always seek for advice from those who know more than them.

While the poor man really seeks for advice or follows it when given, the rich man is always seeking for advice from people who he knows are better than him in one specific area or the other which he needs to tidy up.

If you're going to be rich seek for specific advice from people who actually are thriving in that area. This means if you want to learn more about finances learn from someone who is doing well with their finance.

If you want to learn about swimming learn from someone who is a good swimmer. One mistake the poor man has is seeking for advice from his friend or relation who has no idea or experience in the field the advice is based on.

I hope you've learnt about about how to get rich.?
