When a new aircraft or airline arrives a particular destination for the first time, There's usually a funfair and a kind of water rituals that airline and airport owners and workers carry out to welcome the aircraft .... And I believe that's what played out in Anambra .

Hahaha.... It's actually a milestone and I think it's quite symbolic that the Governor, as their Chief Host, was there to express his gratitude and welcome them to his state because some of the passengers may not be from Anambra state .

Did you notice that the first woman after the Pilot exhibited the Yoruba way of greeting the elderly. That respectful mode of Yoruba greeting is not lost on the Governor because he himself is a Lagos Boy wink

I am happy for Anambra and particularly happy that the first flight is from my Lagos city. Congratulations to HE Obiano. Congratulations to Anambra state. This is a laudable achievement.

I urge Anambra folks to take advantage of this opportunity and please protect the asset from arsonists and IPOB terrorists.

infrastructure might not be the best but it will be upgraded gradually.
The airport will not lack passengers because Anambra people are the most traveled people in Nigeria.
