Tell him to eat more fruits and veggies this period.it will go away. He should avoid energy drinks and alcohol this period too. It subsides maximum 2-3 weeks. And no its not PILE. So advice yourself dude and yall should stop lying that your friend is the one that has the problem.

Don't shave n wear dirty boxer immediately
Don't repeat shaving stick
Don't HV sex in less than 24hrs after shaving

Did your friend complain of an itchy anus and bloody stooling before the boil appeared? If so, it's most likely an Anal abscess caused by Anal fissure. You can Google both terms to know more about it. The treatment is clean the anus properly then get a small hand towel and soak it in hot or warm water and apply or press it to the spot for like twenty minutes. Do this every day and it will disappear after a few days or at most a week. Please the water should not be too hot, you should be able to put you hand in it without getting burnt or scalded. If it is too hot for you to put your hand in then make sure you let it cool down more or add cold water to it till you get the desired temperature before using it.
