Hmmm, I don't think so. Suppose the person can't afford a ring but their intentions are true? I don't think you should not take someone seriously because there isn't some shiny metal in front of you Just my two kobos. |

It's common but not mandatory. My SIL didn't get one when my bro proposed but she did get it a few days before the wedding. |
