At what age did it become harder to learn? In your twenties, thirties, forties, or even in your teen years?
I read that from the age of puberty (about 12), it becomes difficult to understand new things. Other studies have shown that between 24 and 26, your brain's neuropathy is set in its ways and so discovering or learning new things becomes difficult.

I always believed this and it crippled me from furthering my studies after I finished law school at 26. I started a few other courses and would drop along the way because I did not feel my brain could take much for an extended time, hence the preference for 3-day training programmes or a one-month course.

However, in 2019, I found that I really wanted an MBA and so scouted for a few universities. I did not have a lot of money so it had to fit my budget and yet provide quality education. I was also in fear of the handout era where it is the same document handed down over the years and so there is nothing new but you had to buy the materials which probably had no relevance in today's era.

I found Nexford University and it checked my boxes: it was 100% online, provided quality education, was affordable and even American (ok, that part was a bonus but a very welcome check!)

I launched right in and started. It was not easy; I kept saying, "I am too old for this", "This thing no go enter" etc. As long as I believed it, I was slow. Long story short, I finally believed I can be 40 and it would not be hard to learn. It is a function of three things really: Self- reflection, Discipline, and Self-accountability if there is a word like that.
We have people who went to school at age 60 or 90 to learn to read or write and achieved it. People who launched businesses in their fifties and seventies are thriving some decades after they passed.

What are does it become harder to learn?

At the age you decide it is.

I would love to hear what age you decided to take another course, learn a skill, or even travel. I bet it would be inspiring!

I had two cousins who left Nigeria to UK one was 13 while the other was 10.

Years later after they came back to Naija, the 13yrs old girl still has Nigerian accent even though its faint while the 10yrs old has complete British accent meanwhile they both lived there for same number of years

what do you mean by learning

because I could remember, at my age 12, I been still dey carry last for class, that was my js1, my brain was locked until ss1 when I changed school, Lo and behold I picked up.

that was when I knew am a guru in mathematics, I felt I had been scammed in my previous school. until I graduated I keep learning new things, even when there's nothing to learn,

I go to YouTube and search "how to learn new things"

brain differs, some adapt things younger some adapt things older, it doesn't matter, the important thing is DO YOU KNOW IT?

I think it all depends on how one build his brain.

Growing up as a kid, I was a little bit smart but just too playful. My reading back then used to be just for exams.

But after tertiary life, then things changed. I read lots of things. Reading and understanding which I can summarize on my own. There is a particular psychology website which really helped me gan..
Dr Farooq

Psychology of almost everything...

Then I was exposed to Chakra which increased my level of learning and understanding

Well , for me I believe education is a continuous process till death...one can never be too old to learn , it only depends on what you are learning.

The misconception is that we ain't aware we are learning even when no one is teaching us. Back to your question. There isn't an age that is noted for us to learn at a slow pace. Even, as we grow older, we develop how to manage our time to learn the necessary things. That's why you major into a field instead doing all.

It may all look cumbersome because of a lot of factors and time needed to learn, but managing our time to learn is vital
