NOUN is good, if you can read because it's unconventional university, On how easier for NOUN certificate holders to get job, I have no statistics for that, the major factor that I think it guaranty for a job in Nigeria is the strength of you or your relatives influence in our society irrespective of higher institution one attended. NOUN students has been permitted to go NYSC recently, I know a PHD holder from NOUN that is lecturing in UNILAG, their law students performed excellently in Law Schools. I got my Msc in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at NOUN. It's good only if you believe in your academic ability because you must read to survive in NOUN. 13 Likes |

Noun is a good option for someone that's not hunting for a 9/5 job that solely depends on certificate over skill. If your field is more of what you can offer and skill, just go to NOUN. You will get more time to explore other things. The school calendar is fast and they don't do unnecessary strike like other. 4 years is 4 years. I am in my final semester there, they actually have very good materials. Arguably the best, I know so many students in other conventional universities that use our materials for exam preparation. I did some findings, the school is recognised outside Nigeria. Not a PR, just my experience. 8 Likes |

MoneyMusthear: It is only in Nigeria whose highest institutions' certificates are not recognised in the West, that the credibility of a degree from an Open University can be debated. Graduates of Open Universities in the West are highly sought after by employers chiefly because of their dedication and motivation in acquiring their degrees Especially in a very difficult mode of study. These are graduates that are easily given opportunities for post graduate studies in some of the best Universities in Europe. 7 Likes |

Go for it bro. First degree from NOUN is a good step in the right direction. You'll have enough time to hustle and learn at the same time. Most of the people that are dropping negative comments here do not have enough information on how the university operates. One thing you must be aware of is that you must read and understand in NOUN because you won't be able to sort ANYBODY. Many people are gainfully employed with NOUN degree while other are running their post graduate degree both inside and outside the country with their certificate from NOUN. Goodluck. 5 Likes |
