.........Says Nigerians Will Feel Better Under Osinbajo..

..........Blasts Buhari.

In an article published on Monday, the London based newspaper said Nigerians will feel better if Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, was elected president.

“If Yemi Osinbajo, the technocratic Vice President, were miraculously to make it through the campaign ticket and emerge as president, the hearts of Nigerian optimists would beat a little faster,” it said.

“But that may be to underestimate the depth of Nigeria’s quagmire. The problem is not so much who leads the government as the nature of government itself."
According to the newspaper, the Buhari administration failed to tackle the country's insecurity, Nigeria's debt profile increased under his watch.
“Buhari has overseen two terms of economic slump, rising debt and a calamitous increase in kidnapping and banditry – the one thing you might have thought a former general could control," the newspaper added.
“Next year, many of the members of government will change, though not necessarily the bureaucracy behind it.
“Campaigning has already begun for presidential elections that in February 2023 will draw the curtain on eight years of the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, on whose somnolent watch Nigeria has sleepwalked into disaster.”

The newspaper also said financial strength has remained a crucial determinant of the country's election winners.
The media outlet said Nigeria’s presidential election is estimated to cost $2billion.
“Familiar candidates to replace him (Buhari), mostly recycled old men, are already counting their money ahead of a costly electoral marathon.
"It takes an estimated $2billion to get a president elected. Those who pay will expect to be paid back,” it added.

This is one of the problems we have as a nation,we have monetized our politics that is why the kinds of Tinubu and Atiku are boasting that they will defeat their opponents in the primary election. When there are better candidates,if we can found solution to this Nigeria will be better

Election campaign is more of money sharing/vote buying instead of proferring alternative solutions to problems on ground, too bad. Whoever it is tinubu or osinbanjo would likely be a disaster also. The debt would just keep piling up.

Tinubu was never mentioned in the article.
Osunbande is a whimp. Must every vice president succeed his principal?
Must every deputy governor become governor after his boss?

Lol so people actually believe that because Buhari is old that is why his government is failing? You people should realize that Buhari not hold any ministries Buhari is not coordinating economy of Nigeria he put people to this position. And I think that's what a 23 years president would do or Osinbajo if they become president.

I think it is so foolish to blame Buhari and exonerating Osinbajo the government they both part of ...They will say Buhari hindering Osinbajo from working he don't give him free hands. That's a blatant lies.

People should know that if Osinbajo become a president he will not perform miracle I pray his government will not be worst than this.

It's so foolish to think age is what is causing failed government in Nigeria even if a 23 years entrepreneur or technocrat become president it will not still change anything.

We need to sit down and discuss what can work for our country instead beating around the Bush the presidential system of government not work for the nation the 1999 constitution is giving free hands to politicians to stealing our common wealth without anyone checkmate them.

Let us fight and enter street of course we can boycott this election and demand for new constitution and regional government they should stop amending 1999 constitution because it doesn't change anything.

No be only them waka come and there are lots of Nigerians who are far better.

Financial Times obviously don't understand how complex Nigeria is.

Next propaganda please!!

And I find it funny how yorubas are trying to abandon Buhari and jump ship, well it shouldn't really come as a surprise because it's actually deja Vu.

The presidency of Buhari is a collaboration between him and Osinbajo, therefore if Buhari is being adjudged to have failed, same applies to Osinbajo!!!

These people should stop being clever by half cheesy cheesy
