Cleric faults Bakare’s stand on Yar’Adua

Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly has come under severe criticism over his statement that Umaru Yar’Adua is God appointed president for Nigeria.

Reacting to the statement, Lagos cleric, Prophet Anthony Nwoko, said it was too early to dress President Yar’Adua in messianic robe.

Nwoko said: "Pastor Bakare did not speak the mind of God. He is a full time politician. He is not in Spirit. He doesn’t even know what God is talking about concerning the state of the nation."

According to the cleric, "the glory of Nigeria is from the South East, Abia State to be precise. Bakare is aware of it but he has turned back to work against God by proclaiming Yar’Adua the appointed leader of Nigeria. God does not change His word but today Bakare is changing His words.

The Holy Spirit is angry with him over his utterances. He is backing Yar’Adua, calling him a good man under two months of his administration."
Nwoko also lambasted his fiery colleague for referring to some former governors as thieves when he himself is not a saint.

"The Bible says judgement will start from the house of God. Bakare has been collecting money from worshippers for years. Where does he give Jesus Christ the money?," he queried.
To buttress his position, Nwoko recalled that Arch-Bishop John Obiokeke of God’s Pentecostal Mission (GPM) in his prediction at the beginning of the year stated that an Igboman is destined to sit on the throne.

The Holy Spirit of God who gives revelation is not a confussionist. He wont give a revelation concerning one issue to one and a completely different revelation on the same issue to another. No! Now, who does one believe among these men of God who are diametrically opposed to each other on the same issue?
