Hey Nairalander, so I noticed that there's been alot of fintechs company and App who are promising to make it easy and better to send money from abroad back home.

However, it's funny that this has not really been the case as the experiences really have improved as expected despite the plenty options of App.

My personal experience this past week has left me shocked and wondering if this App and Fintechs are just taking advantage of the solution to cash out for themselves. For instance TransferWise (now Wise) wanted me to pretend my account with $20 or N10,000 to activate my account.... to test my account for me Payoneer was offering me an exchange rate of N400 to $1 when the the official rate is around $1 = N460 and N570 parallel market....

So I would like to know and keep this thread as a way to share our experiences with sending money to Africa or receiving money in Africa from abroad. The Apps we are using and our experiences with them
