Vessels do not expire in that sense of the word as long as they are still seaworthy, well maintained and all that. They get upgraded equipment much like when you love-vendor a vintage car.

We have vessels which were built as far back as 1867 and are still seaworthy and working every day

This is not the Escravos where they say “do it safely or not at all….. The FPSO is owned by another company in a different field in Escravos offshore. This particular field is about 6 miles SW of Meren field owned by the company you referred to.
