fakmurphy: Well if you are doing well in the UK, you can invite her over. You just have to show proof of how you earn legally, and if your funds are enough to cover for you and your family, as well as a third party. You can do this by providing bank statement and payslips in her application. Write her a letter of invite, stating the purpose of her trip, itinerary, length of trip, who will be covering all costs. Since you are the sponsor, you can easily provide these I’m sure. On her own end, she should also attach her bank statement as well. She doesn’t need to have so much in the account as long as you the sponsor are financially buoyant to cover for her trip. She needs to ensure that whatever information she inputs in her application, the same should reflect on her bank statement. She should provide proof of ties like family photo etc, and also proof of relationship with the sponsor. If she isn’t working, she should state it. And also, how she survives here in Nigeria should be indicated. Hope this helps? |

Please, do I declare the allowance my husband send to me as additional income? If yes, what proof do I use to support it? It goes into expenses anyway but I just want to put an explanation for it. |

Compliment of the season my beloved... Pls I was denied a UK visa 2 years ago on the ground of deceit. A letter was attached to my passport during collection and it states as follow; That my application has been denied on the general ground of deciet, that my details have been saved in their DVR for future reference, that I have no right to appeal and any subsequent application may be refused based on this ground of previous deceit. And according to immigration rule 37b and something something that reapplication is after 10years. Pls is there any remedy? |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Oluwaloniglory7: 1:40pm On Dec 31, 2022 |
Thanks bro Ashiri you are too much, that what exactly my employer wrote I'm just curious that my salary is lesser than that after tax deduction. If I wanted to write my personal cover letter should I mentioned my net salary after tax or my gross income? Lastly can I do breakingdown of my trips budget? Ashirioluwa: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa: 2:48pm On Dec 31, 2022 |
Oluwaloniglory7: It’s fine to do a breakdown of trip budget. Your income is already stated on the letter written by your employer. You can mention it again in your cover letter if you like, but I don’t really see the need. State the gross income if you would like to include it. Since you're including your payslip with your application, you don't need to include a breakdown of your salary in your cover letter. Your gross income, take-home pay (net income), and income breakdown are all displayed on your payslip. If the letter you obtained from your employer for this visa application does not specifically talk about your annual leave and the leave allowance (if any), then you can talk about it here. State the duration of your annual leave and the amount you will receive as allowance for your annual leave. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa: 6:59pm On Dec 31, 2022 |
Lynks201: Your case is a very difficult one because your name now appears on the DVR (Document Verification Report) database, and I do believe it's too late to request judicial review or to appeal your case because it happened two years ago. They were certain that all or some of the documents you submitted with your visa application were fake or forged, so this resulted in the 10-year ban. All you need to do now is wait until your ban is over, and then you can put in another application. Alternately, you might take a chance and submit a fresh application with supporting documentation and back it up with a convincing letter; nevertheless, the likelihood of success in this scenario is extremely slim but not impossible. Note: This is just my own personal opinion, so don't rely on it 100% because I am not an immigration expert or visa agent. 1 Like |

Please can 900k sufficient for 5 days vacation to UK? My take home salary is 550k and my monthly expenses is 100k which leave me 450k monthly disposable, and I was learnt that is advisable to use 2 month disposable income for trips cost for visa application. Although I have enough money as a closing balance which up to 4m. Please kindly advise me Ashirioluwa: |

Happy New Year, All. Please, do I declare the allowance my husband send to me as additional income? If yes, what proof do I use to support it? It goes into expenses anyway but I just want to put an explanation for it because it's usually a bulk sum but not consistent nor the same amount over the months. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 6:32pm On Jan 01, 2023 |
27autumn:bulk sum? Hmm . The proof is the origin of the funds to him. So if u want you can submit the origin of the source of his funds |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 6:35pm On Jan 01, 2023 |
Oluwaloniglory7:check Oanda rate for the conversion ECOs use for pounds and draw up a budget. Shopping etc are not compulsory. Remember also it is not about the sum itself, the ECOs try to do a wholistic approach on a balance of probabilities that something will make you return to Nigeria. If they are convinced you get the visa, if not convinced no visa. Some persons earn lesser but still get visas.. it’s the total look. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by 27autumn: 6:55pm On Jan 01, 2023 |
giselle237: Yeah, bulk sum- sometimes 200-500 depends on total expense and he sometimes sends for 2 months together. Okay, thank you. Would just add it. |

Really learnt a lot from this forum. My UK visit visa has just been refused What is the rule for reapplying after refusal |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 7:41pm On Jan 01, 2023 |
Oluwaloniglory7: There is no manual for @ bolded. You should understand that it all depends on your itinerary. There are many factors to be considered, but I suggest not spending more than half of your account balance. You should be concerned about working on your ties to Nigeria. People have gotten their visas approved using all available sums in their bank account for a trip. Work on your home tie with sufficient evidence. That's the ECO's pressing concern. Happy New Year! P.S: This is just my conviction |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by infosoftlife: 7:44pm On Jan 01, 2023 |
ORTS: Apply only if your circumstances have changed. If the event you stated for wanting to travel has elapsed, I suggest you take your time so you do not appear desperate. |

babylawyr: That's what I was told too but I intend on researching further on it. I will update you of I get anything different. By the way I was able to ammend my appointment to 4th Jan just this morning but I had to upgrade to premium lounge to get that. My husband's appointment was for 11th and I was able to ammend to 4th too but I noticed he had the option of 3rd too as well as Flexi. I guess it is because he was already on Premium. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by ORTS: 7:57am On Jan 02, 2023 |
ORTS: I submitted Agreement letter for my investment but the profit is received in cash not paid into my account. Guess that is the sole reason for the refusal as stated by the ECO. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 9:47am On Jan 02, 2023 |
ORTS:Next application make a day to day itinerary of what you would be doing. Your statement for tourism was poor that is why ECO quoted it. Day 1 arrival etc Like what you wrote was really poor for a supposed tourist. You are expected to research extensively if you are genuine. This ECO also does not feel your 300k salary and circumstances will make u come back to Nigeria nor enough to sponsor this trip. Average pay and sister in the UK who can give you grace to stay back and seek asylum. You also have no travel history. You also quoted a no existing investment. If it is collected in cash and has no proof in your bank statement why did you mention it? Overall, you are reapplying now… so which of your circumstances have changed? 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by ORTS: 10:17am On Jan 02, 2023 |
giselle237: Thanks for your detailed analysis. Circumstances changed will be 1. submitting my personal savings account statement, which I did not submit when I applied. To demonstrate my financial circumstances in Nigeria. 2. Not mentioning visiting my sister in my application, even if I state I have a family member in the UK. Cos I actually booked for a hotel to lodge. 3. Details of my day to day itinerary as you rightly stated. As stated by the ECO each application is considered on its individual merit. Will also want to know why the ECO mentioned my bank balance was 9 months of my income.? Thank you for your anticipated reply. |
