Thank you so much for replying..
I will just leave the trip although my interest was a one month visa..
Also, do you think I need to change a job before I can visit my friend in the UK?

Visa no be clothe dem dey buy for market. Dem no fit give you only one month visa. 😄

The visas have a validity with the minimum being for 6 months.

If you are successful in your application you will be given a 6months visa. That's the minimum span they can issue..

As for changing job. That's not the problem.

Your biggest enemy is the foreign exchange rate. Cos as long as the naira continues to dwindle no job at your level will be enough. Not unless you plan to start earning around 1million monthly for the next 6months to be between now and when you apply in six months time. So I don't really see how changing a job will help grin unless maybe your boyfriend comes to your rescue wink

Because of my job I want to only stay for one week but I want a one month Visa, so within that one month I can choose any of the week to travel.
The job I do as an entry level, I feel the pay is okay for my level.
My friend was in Nigeria in 2022 and I have our pictures. He has been the one saying I should try before I start my M.sc application because my parents are saying I must get an M.SC or MBA before marriage.

smiley The minimum for visit is sha 6 months. It will be nice if you go now before you do your masters. To help build travel history for subsequent applications.

Then again I hope you are not planning on doing the masters in Nigeria.

But nawa for you oh. Must your parents decide when you ought to marry.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Exbb: 11:00am On Nov 30, 2023
Normally he will pay for my round trip air ticket. By the way he is Nigerian but have dual citizenship. I will stay at the family house. I want to just disclose that I work because I don't want the embassy to discover later that I hide some information about myself. Because the organisation I work with is sponsored by the UK government but the organisation is in Nigeria. I just want to show my statement saying this is my money, why he also attach his bank statement too as my sponsor for the flight.

For my masters I am considering Canada, I don't want UK.
I have travelled to Tanzania and Kenya, I don't know if that is a enough travel history.
My parents have say over my life oh, they are my sponsor and they are strong Christian 😂
So when you said I will marry him from there and never come back, I laughed because my parents will never approve such marriage.

My contribution to this is that you should say that you are staying for a week just as you plan as it will even help your chances. Increasing your planned length of stay will only decrease your chances.

As someone earlier pointed out, the minimum validity of your visa is 6months so you don't need to increase your originally planned stay of one week to get that.

Also, it will be nice to declare your investments and savings so it also builds up your personal finances.

All the best!

I am grateful.

Again the fund I used for those investments I got it from dash( na give de give me) how do I proof where I got the money from because it was since when I was year 3

To be frank anything that will cause headache with regards finances or cast aspersions on the credibility of the funds you are putting before them should be properly ironed out.

Especially because this is your first application.

You are an employee making so so so salary and was employed with so so so amount to be received every month. You have so so so money in your account balance which should only be credited by your company's bank

Out of that money you earn every month, you spend so so so monthly leaving you with so so so disposable income monthly.

I have collected casual leave letter from work of 1 week duration and I am expected back on so so so date. I love my work and I was recently promoted to so so so position with a bump in my salary to so so so amount.

I intend to travel but my friend in the UK has decided to cover my accomodation and flight ticket. He is a medical doctor and a citizen of great Britain and Northern Ireland. Here is the breakdown of what I intend to spend during my stay:

What do you mean by no email? Have you tracked it? Is it visit visa or spousal visa or work visa? Have you applied before? Did you use agent?

Are you an agent grin

It is visiting visa. On the tracker, it says "Application Received By DMC" - it has been at this stage since the day after capturing.

You are right, however, since the investment certificate will most likely date at least 2years back since she said she made the investment in her year 3, I believe it shouldn't cause much issues as it's evidently not done for the purpose of this application.

Also given that there is a column for her to input additional income, she can declare allowances from family and friends. This can prove source of investment funds and also as she earns about 190k and she doesn't spend much from it as she says, there must definitely be money coming from elsewhere that takes care of her expenses.

My thoughts though but you and other gurus can give more insight.

Thank you so much!
Most of my allowances that I use for spending are from my friend, parents and siblings.
I don't touch my salary, so I am thinking of stopping my friend from sending any money to my salary account but to the second account I use for my expenses, this I believe will help reduce questioning of some credit alert not from my company. Again how do I account for inflow and no outflow inform of expenses if I use this approach?

If you are also disclosing the other one. You could explain the funds are spent from there.

But then again, I cant in good conscience advice anyone to do that considering "the unknown can of worms" for questions this will no doubt stir-up.

Petty things like why can't you use the one in your salary instead of the other one? Suspicious of you not owning the money and all that. So abeg. Is it possible you use out of your salary for now?

And how much have you accumulated in there?
If it's more than times 10 of your monthly salary that one fit still be problem.

Okay then you don't have any business waiting for them to respond. The passport is with them. Just keep calm and keep refreshing the tracking. Since it's 15 working days already, it should be moved back to vac this evening.

Or kukuma check the mail for anything they might have requested you to provide or to do.

Which bank statement did you submit? Cos sometimes dey might want to delay due to failure of banks to respond on time

Thank you so much.
I will not be disclosing my second account, it is my miscellaneous account.

If I get you clearly sir, please are you saying that I do something like this: Receive 190k every Month, spend or transfer 40k as my monthly expenses to my second account. Then I will state that the 40k every month is my monthly expenses? Even though I know I might not touch the 40k if I transfer it to the second account. I'm not disclosing my second account at all to anyone.
I only want to make the inflow and outflow in my account align and channel credit alert not from my salary for now to the second account. Do this make enough sense please?
