Hello everyone!
I did my biometric on the 2nd of Jan at vfs ikeja (priority) and till now I’ve not gotten a mail or any response. I’m having serious anxiety as regards this. The money paid for priority is not small and I thought it’ll hasten the process but Omo, it’s not. It’s still the same. It’s over 5 working days and I’m lost as regards what could be causing the whole delay. I have gone through this thread and, I saw a link to track the application only to see that a decision has not been made at all. Like…did they forget I paid for priority? I’m just tired. I know this looks like a rant but I’m honestly anxious and worried.

What day did you get a notification that the DMC has received your application? You should count from that date not necessarily the day you made the biometrics. I really don't know about Ikeja VFS,if they get the application across to the DMC the same day.

Good evening,

I'm in need assistance with booking a medical appointment through the IOM website. Initially, I made an error in my date of birth (Their website did actually, added a day to my DOB), so I promptly cancelled the appointment. However, when I attempted to rebook, I received an error message stating that I already have an appointment scheduled.

Can I visit IOM Office on Monday to book?

You can send them an email or call, and if going to their office won't be more of a stress to you, then that's also a nice idea.

Good afternoon everyone, happy new year. Please I have a question regarding the selfsponsorship route for nurses to UK.

When gathering documents for visitor visa application, will the applicant need to have a lot of money in her account bearing in mind that there is a sponsor in the UK with good bank statement and accommodation? Thanks for your response.

Is your question concerning self sponsorship routes for nurses or about visitor visa?
For the Visitor's visa:
If you have a sponsor, then you should be fine, however, showing you have your own money makes your application more credible. Also, your proof of funds must match what you claim to be doing (occupation), and you should be able to prove that you have a strong tie to your country.

Don't worry lol, I'm submitting this month in a few days. I just asked to ensure my budget is not too far off from the budget successful applicants have previously stated for about a week, but I've settled on about 1,132 GBP for a week (including flights and excluding accommodation)., which is a reasonable budget based on the budgets successful applicants have previously stated.

I wonder when you'd finally submit your application with this your over-calcu. cheesy

Thank you for responding. Jan2…last week Thursday was when I did my biometric and I got a mail on Friday(next day Jan3). I was even happy thinking I’ll get a response within the said 3-5 working days but it’s past that now. I’ll see if there’ll be any difference by Monday. If not, I’ll probably call in by Tuesday. If there’s any other opinion you’d like to give as regards how to proceed, I’d appreciate that as I’m legit feeling like I wasted all that money to make the process fast and It’s still the same thing.
What visa is this? Any prior refusals? Any previous overstay? Any particular reason for doing priority if not a worker or student? Yes you are past the timeline for the priority. Send a paid mail today.

UKVI’s concern is that you the sponsor has a valid stay/leave in the UK during the time your visitor is coming, as long as your BRP is valid, that’s all

I am still expecting a response on this.. please.. thank you all

Chudycharles:
Please I need an advice on the following please and your input here will be really appreciated.

My mum, had visited last time on a 6months visa and I want to apply this time for 2years. My questions..

1. I want to now say she is unemployed and we are supporting her but the last time we applied that she was self employed.
How do I go about wording it, in her cover letter or letter of introduction..

2. She visited our GP about twice when she was not feeling well, she also got registered and had her NHS number. Do I declare it and what impact do you sense it will have in the application.

Your response will truly go a long way..

God bless us all.

Thanks

You registered today and your first post is advertising a nameless online visa tool that helped you.

What's the name?
How did it help you?
Where's the result?

Even worse, you try to redirect traffic to your DM.

Please a quick question on this refusal letter. The applicant has a small business and we explained it is not registered and the income per year does meet the threshold for tax purposes. We submitted a year bank statement and the total inflow was just above N9m. We explained 3 million was a fixed deposit inflow intended for the trip, 1 million from other intra account inflow and 5 million was income from the business.
In hindsight, I think we did not explain the outflows well. My question is should we have added the total debits and divide by twelve to arrive at the monthly expense to be included in the form? This is because part of the inflows were transfers for investment purposes and we thought including investment outflow as an expense did not look quite right. We overlooked the business expenses and only captured personal monthly expenses which was a big mistake.
Your thoughts on these would be helpful as we plan to apply again in April.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by b31164707: 1:56pm On Jan 13
Good afternoon and apologies for receiving this refusal letter. Yes, you should have added your total expenses, i.e. total debits over the 12-month period covered by your bank statements, then divided the total by 12 to arrive at a more realistic figure. If the bank statements cover a three-month period for instance, add total debits over a three-month period, then divide by three. Obviously, your expenses in month A won't exactly match your expenses in month B or in month C, so it's best to find the average over the period which should be stated in your application.

@ dubaiprince sorry for the refusal

My question is As a self employed did you normally state the purpose of each outflow of
funds from ur bank account, example, (payment for goods)? Maybe that is why the eco sum all the withdrawals for a year as total expenditure for a year which those not correlate with ur 90k monthly expenses
