Thank you to all the contributors on here I’ve been a silent follower.

I recently applied for a visit visa for my paternal auntie (lost mum over 10 years) and I had a baby in 2024 so wanted to invite my auntie over.

Submitted biometrics 02Jan2025 at Ikeja
Email to pickup passport 14Jan2025
Visa approved 6 months.

My auntie has a shop where she sells used clothes

Documents I submitted
My payslip / 6months
My contract of employment
My council tax letter
My utility bill -6 months
My passport
My bank statement
Invitation letter in which I explained my auntie was a retired school teacher and has a clothing shop which my other auntie will look after when she travels
Pictures of my auntie and I when I visited Nigeria in 2021

Documents my auntie submitted
Her passport page
Receipt of her shop rent
Local shop levy receipt
Her old university ID card with her maiden name to match with mine.

She has 3 grown up children last one is 19 years old.

I forgot to add that in the invitation letter I did say I will be paying for her application fee, flight, and she’ll be staying with me. So the entire cost of her trip will be covered by me.

Your prayers and luck worked.

Many couples in fact some children invited their mums and stated clearly that they are paying 100% yet they refused thier parents in the claim that they didn't submit personal bank statement

Any husband? What would be the home ties?
Sometimes they overlook the account statements as long as other documents show strong ties that the person must come back especially for older/aged applicants.
Yes oh. She’s married and still living with her husband.

Thank you, Yes you are right. Perhaps it also depends on how much they’ve submitted in their bank statement.

My older sister also applied last year when I had baby. After two refusals and I followed all the guidelines here she cleaned up her statement for 6 months and was also approved in Feb24.

Hello everyone.. I just found this page and I hope I get the clarification I need for a visit visa

How can one proof they have a business in Nigeria what document do they need for a visit visa.

How can they show or proof they have children in Nigeria or should it just be stated on the letter

Thank you.

Hello house

Please I want to apply for UK visa for a visit in March.
If I had known before now that I needed to travel, I would have put my account in order (I received credit alerts from multiple sources other than my employer). Pls is this a big risk I’m taking?
Or do I just calm down and explain every credit alert in a letter?

Please, I hope the monthly interest from the bank into my account won't affect the statement account

Mine was flagged as unknown funds in my first application, although it was written “credit interest “.
So make sure to explain that on so so date, this amount was a credit interest from the bank.
If you can also contact your bank and asked them what credit was that, they will say it’s a credit interest or so so.
Then add the email to your explanation as well.
That’s all. I did this in my second application, so make sure you do it in your first now.
