6 Ways To Pass WAEC / NECO Without Special Centres by Justseyii: 1:58pm On Feb 03, 2022
This post covers a step by step guide to help students who are preparing for the forthcoming WAEC & NECO examinations and are conflicted with decisions to cheat or work hard. Our best advice to such students is to read this article carefully, follow the instructions to the letter and prepare hard for their examinations.

Besides the moral disadvantage that comes with using special centres for WAEC & NECO, students involved might suffer from Criminal persecution or having their results withheld or cancelled.

How To Pass WAEC & NECO Without Cheating This Year
Create a timetable for each subject
Having a personal timetable for examinations like WAEC & NECO can be a very effective style of studying and it also comes with its own advantages. Such as, it improves the reading habits that will help you during future examinations, another advantage of creating a personal timetable for studying is, it helps you create a pattern and sets a direction so you are not reading aimlessly.

Download the syllabus for each subject from the internet
Students can download syllabuses for WAEC, NECO & JAMB here, having these materials either printed out or saved as PDF on your phone, compliments your reading as a guide with your timetable set up. So before you start reading, take some time to google search ”WAEC syllabus for all subjects”

Study your weak subjects more than your strong ones
Use the 70 – 30 reading format. Give 70% of your attention to the subjects you are not so strong in, and 30% attention to the subjects you are very confident in. For example, A student is very good ins Biology, Chemistry & Physics but weak in Math & Economics, with the 70 – 30 reading format, such a student will spend more time studying Maths & Economics than the other 3 subjects mentioned.

Create notes from topics you have studied
To have an effective study session especially when preparing for exams, students are advised to create their own version of short notes, this doesn’t mean recopying your school notes or textbooks. No, you will have to recreate notes on what you have read off-hand. This method of studying helps retention and improves your skills in how to answer questions during examinations.

Find past questions online and practice them
While there are numerous fake past questions on the internet, we encourage students to study first from textbooks and notes before practising past questions because of the questionable authenticity. Please note, do not practice past questions first it is a very bad idea especially when you are preparing for examinations like WAEC & NECO. Most of the past questions have wrong answers and it will be terrible if you use them singularly without other sources like Textbooks & Notes

Attend classes / tutorials
Students who mostly sit for examinations like WAEC & NECO are divided into 2 categories. 1. The students who are currently in ss3 and need the examinations to further their education into the University of their choice & 2. Students who aren’t in a secondary school but are external candidates and want to sit for the WAEC & NECO examination. Whichever category you fall into, don’t take your classes & tutorials for granted. Attend them & take the best advantage of them.

Hopefully, this post helps you to practice properly for your examinations and not pick the dangerous alternative called ”Special Centre” Good luck!
