Don't get me wrong. I detest rape and will continue to condemn it in strong terms.
I've heard a case on Kapital FM radio, Abuja, where a girl of about 10 years accused her teacher of rape. The teacher was beaten to coma by lawless security officers, he lost the job. Although he was later released, his life was already messed up. He had to come on radio to beg the girl to say the truth so that he could be free from the stigma. The girl's response shows that the teacher was always scolding her.
That's why I always subscribe to thorough investigation.

Yes early sex education is important but it will never warrant placing a rapist’s blame on the parents or children.

Children can be educated that doesn’t mean they develop the mental maturity to withstand a cunning and manipulative adult. And in cases when they do, they can be threatened into compliance . Oftentimes kids are molested because the molester said, if they don’t comply, they would do so and so to them or their loved ones.

I mean since you recognize that kids can be molested in their own homes too, do you think educating a 5 year old will get rid of the dangers they face in their own house? How? Because a child can’t be physically forced?

A Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Mubi, Adamawa, has ordered that one Abdullahi Adamu, be remanded in prison for allegedly raping a five-year-old nursery 3 schoolgirl (name withheld).

The 28-year-old suspect was said to have allegedly lured the minor into an uncompleted building in Mubi in the Mubi North Local Government Area of the State, where he defiled her.

Adamu, who allegedly took time to pry on the little kid, took advantage of her while she was returning home from her school at Anguwan Madina, which is located near Adamu’s residence in Mubi town. He reportedly lured her into the hideout with a N20 biscuit and then raped her.

“I asked her to come with me to a nearby shop to pick a biscuit and she obliged me, after which I took her into the uncompleted building,” Adamu said.

A curious neighbour, who sighted him while exiting the building with such a minor, suspected and alerted other neighbors, leading to his arrest. The victim was then taken to the General Hospital Mubi where she was examined and then established that Adamu had penetrated her.

Adamu has been arraigned before the Chief Magistrate Court II where the judge, Magistrate Hamidu Aminu, ordered that he be remanded in prison custody.

i aint taking the blame off the rapist, but we all have to be realistic about these issues. majority of them kids are enticed simply by offering them candies and/or walking unattended aimlessly around strangers at 5yr old..... and educating your kids would greatly reduce that. there are a lot of dangers out there and EDUCATION is the key. would you rather blame these dangers instead of solving these issues by EDUCATING YOUR KIDS??!?!

safeguarding your children is the most important issue here... and as much as we should blame rapists, we shoud equally blame parents who dont give the proper tools to their kids, in order to protect them against these demons! i dont care how many demon rapist there are out there, because so long as children are in a safe environment and act right, these pedos wouldnt have a chance to even look at them! my 5yr old wouldnt be seen by themselves walking aimlessly so a pedo could remotely think of entice them with candy, thats called EDUCATION!!
