People often professionals that pay deliberate attention to building their personal brand. But being making the concept look bad simply doesn’t make any sense. For one, personal branding positions you for the next big opportunity in your career and even your business.

If it’s so beneficial to professionals and business owners/founders, why then do people make it look like a bad thing? People simply hate what they don’t understand and it doesn’t have to be so.

Building a personal brand is like making other people aware of your presence and your expertise. It’s like how you know the woman that sells the best Ewa Agoyin in your area; the trader that sells the freshest bread; the friend you can rely on etc.

Now, let’s take the woman that sells the best Ewa Agoyin in your area, give her small business a name, say “Iya Togo Agoyin Beans ventures” and list her on food delivery apps. This will definitely open more opportunities for her because people who live in as far as 20 streets away can now order her badass beans and her profit increases that way.

Let’s say you as a pro, you’re wondering how to build your personal brand, first of all, you need these two things:

1.

Visibility

Forget the English, it simply means “the state of being able to see or be seen”, like when somebody enters your room at night and switch on the light bulb waaaahh!! beams on your face and all that. The easiest way to be visible is to create a social media account and be active on it.

2.

Opinion

Have an opinion. Wait, actually, everyone has an opinion. Your opinion about Buhari; about startup boys and how they make too much noise about money; your opinion about NFTs; about Nigerian courts and the police, etc. Talk about these things on your social media accounts etc and gradually, people will start knowing you and recognising your “expertise”.

You can set these things up by yourself or you can try to use https://prackage.com to start building and managing your personal brand.
