Hmmmmmm, another perspective but you shouldn't also forget that Diana reacted the way she did because of Leoanard's rash and abusive response to her which made her realize or conclude that her relationship with Leonard either romantically or platonically will be a turbulent one due to his stereotypical mindset towards rich ladies like her and so she decides to spare herself the hurt and drama. I think it's something a lot of people can relate. What do you think?

That statement is meant for the purpose of a message and not if it's in the dictionary or English vocabulary besides English is a language were people can concieve words in other to explain concepts.
That statement means that a or the position is given not because one is superior rather because there's a role or responsibility to carry out, a task that needs to be sone, that's what I mean by "Role One" or "Role Headship". And this can of leadership is present in a team.
So you shouldn't be bothering about if that statement is in the dictionary or vocabulary but rather focus on the message it represents. See it as a slang.



The President, vice president concept wasn't use in a political sense but in a leader and assistant/ deputy sense for e.g a CEO and a deputy CEO. It is use to denote or present the functioning relationship between a leader and his or her deputy especially in a team scenario. So yes, I think it was proper to use it as an analogy in marriage so far I'm not coming from a political perspective which I'm not, that's why I also use the case of a head pilot and a co pilot
