Karlosorji:
what are you even saying? Money Heist is a movie about breaking and entering the bank vault with the purpose of stealing money. So tell me, how many banks have been broken in Spain since the release of the movie? Take responsibility and fix the country. Simple
Breaking into the vault of a bank is a very very difficult thing to achieve given various security measures in place. You cannot compare the ease and anonymousity of yahoo yahoo or the ease of kidnapping to breaking into the vaults of a bank?

People would rather damn the consequences as long as the movies protrays the shortest route to making money is through ritualism. They would be fascinated by the thrill on the face of their celebrity actor throwing money up the air than any punishment that may come after.

Another thing is that people are aware that the consequences are not real or just make believe, because they still see the actor either in real life, in the media or in other movies after his supposed death/madness. But on the other hand, they still see the actor living a luxurious life even after the movie (even if the luxurious life is fake). So their minds still hold the belief that the actor made money from ritual money. It's like people still believe Patience Ozokwor (Mama G) is a wicked mother in law despite her character suffering some negative consequences of her wicked ways.

Almost all nollywood ibo films hailmoney rituals or make it look like a sin to be broke, adjust that, get original materials that is not just rich ridiculing broke, same goes for Nigerian musicians as a whole, you keep throwing subtle shades about being broke like its a sin,,, kids grow up taking it serious.

Nollywood made it popular. Remember Living in Bondage? Hmmmm. Many sold their soul for vanity.

Both of them are right. Let's be honest, Nollywood is contributing to the issue of ritual killing. 90% of movie produced by Nollywood are ritual movies. Some viewers tend to believe more on what they watch in movies... But you see those our neighbors in the west their own seems like it's naturally implanted in them to mine skul undecided undecided

Any Nollywood movie that portrays blood Money always have sad/disastrous ending for the people that engage in such blood Money in such movies
Exactly what I wanted to say. The end always portrays bad ending for the ritualists.

How is nollywood causing it then, when they know that it's just make belief. The high rate of poverty is the cause not nollywood.

I hate it when people use poverty as an excuse for diabolic or serious crime. Nigeria is not the poorest nation in the world, but we are the most materially desperate. We are looking for reasons why more Nigerian youths are prepared to do anything including sacrificing other family members for riches.

So you dont mean believe Mama G is a wicked stepmother or Jim Iyke is a lover boy thug because Nollywood is make belief?

Kanayo O Kanayo and Asaba Nollywood movies should share a part of the blame. They glorify blood money and ritual killing as a means to high social status. The plot of the movies is mostly about a poor village man who after being mocked and scorned by family and friends, decides to join a cult of wealthy men with the demand that he donates either his beloved mother or wife in exchange for riches.

You forgot to add that they never end up well..,plus have you forgotten the gbenga daniels shrine and oath scandal? Did nollywood make him do that? Don’t blame Nollywood For Ritual Killings, Actor Yul Edochie Replies House of Reps

Actor Yul Edochie has responded to the House of Representatives claims that Nollywood is partly to be blamed for the increase in the rate of ritual killings across the country.

During the plenary on Wednesday, the House of Representatives called for the declaration of a state of emergency on ritual killings in the country and partly blamed the menace on the Nollywood industry and tasked all stakeholders to begin a national campaign to change the orientation of the people towards the crime.

Reacting to the House of Reps' indictment on Friday, the actor on his Instagram page said,

then why is skull mining rampant in Yoruba land? why not Igbo land that views Igbo nollywood more? and when did Yoruba kids start preferring Igbo films more than Yoruba films?

Which populace have suddenly not gone aggressive? Certainly you are not talking about US populace with periodic mass shootings and high gun related deaths.

what do you mean by Nigerians have less access to Nollywood because of Nepa? Are you insinuating that Nigerians don't have access to electricity at all or that TVs in the homes of most Nigerians are there only for decoration?
You mean most Nigerians were unable to watch Nollywood movies from 1980s till date?
When one is talking about violence, I am comparing it to the sort of levels we have in Nigeria i.e. mass Kidnapping, ritual killings, children abuse armed robbery etc, and with reference to access to Nollywood, power outage restrict most Nigerians from watching TV.

Ritual killing is everywhere, its probably more pronounced in ogun state because thats where yahoo boys run to after leaving lagos(the center of everywhere) and influencing people around or the vigilantes in western states are working more than others, for now esn has paralized all security apparatus in the east and probably do their own ritual killing to get more power.

It's not only Lagos that records Ritual murders, all over the South is hotbed of ritual (money related ) murders.

Ironically, the northern part of Nigeria hardly record any ritual murder. Probably because Nollywood is not popular in the North.
