Hello all. My younger brother is 17yr old and resides in Port Harcourt, he is a sharp left footer and can dribble well. He wants to join a football academy to pursue a career in football. But the problem now is my father who have vowed that he must go to university. He is forcing him to register for NIN and jamb. I have said everything to convince him. What do we do. |

zinaman:Does university education forbid people from becoming footballers? Campus may even help him to achieve his dream. Stop putting all your eggs in one basket. |

zinaman: He should go and register for NIN. It's a must for all citizens because even if he wanna apply for International Passport, he's gonna need it. Also, I'd urge you to let him register for JAMB while on the other hand he continue with his football dream. However, I understand your urge to want him in a football career. My advise is that if you really have the financial resources to sponsor him, kindly register him at a reputable Football Academy. This will make his chances of being picked when talent scouts are interested in young and good players. Your father has got a point and you've got a point also. |
