Tchidi Chikere, a Nigerian filmmaker, believes that love is enough to keep a marriage together.

On Wednesday, the film director revealed this in an Instagram post detailing some of the things couples should do before getting married.

Parenting style, religion, sexual expectations, family health history, mental health history, and other topics, he believes, should all be discussed.

"Talk about bills, parenting styles, credit, religion, how to deal with family, what beliefs will be instilled in your children, childhood traumas, careers, and education before you get married," he advised. Whatever your political opinions are, we ever come to mind

After unfollowing each other on Instagram in 2021, Tchidi and Nuella ignited divorce rumors.

Her husband's name was likewise taken from her Instagram profile.

On March 29, 2014, Nuella and Tchidi wedded in a traditional ceremony held in her family compound in Anambra State. They are the parents of a daughter.

Tchidi is the father of three other children from his former marriage to Sophia Williams, another actress.

In 2012, the estranged couple called it quits on their marriage.

Shut up your teeth , with two failed marriage you are still trying to give people tips on how to get a successful marriage/relationship .

No tips or handout to a successful marriage, two good people with the right upbringing and counseling doesn’t guarantee a perfect relationship talk more of marriage. Even endurance nor fit endure , patience don tire to dey patient

I agree with him on this one but unfortunately intending couples just jump right into marriage without any discussions about family history, likes, parenting styles, etc.

For instance, if a family member of your intending partner is suffering from a disease, try to ascertain whether that disease is hereditary and could be passed on to your kids. These things are very important.
