Got into a conversation with one of my pastor friend And he was trying to prove point that there is big difference between spirit and soul That spirit and soul are not the same And there is difference between paradise and heaven and that heaven and paradise are not same Google explanation The main difference between soul and spirit is that the soul is the spiritual part what we carry after our death whereas a spirit can refer to a non-human entity as well. Therefore, even though spirit can be used to refer to a supernatural being; soul can only be referred to the individual's spirituality. But still don’t understand 1 Like |

Well he is right!  SOUL refers to the personality (character) BODY means the physic in which the character is contained and SPIRIT is the energy actuating our body. Psalms 146:4 At death the body is buried, the soul cease to exist and the energy actuating the body returns to the CREATOR who gave it in the beginning! Ecclesiastes 12:7 compare Genesis 2:7 So when Jesus said "fear the one who can destroy both BODY and SOUL in the grave" {Matthew 10:28} he was talking about God who has the power to restore man back to life even give him a brand new BODY. Remember that many were born deaf, lame, blind, albinos, dwarfs and many other deformities, during the resurrection God will give such people perfect bodies that's not effected by our former sinful conditions. So their character (SOUL) is safe while their former deformed physic (BODY) will not be again. But when such a person does nothing worth remembering for resurrection God will forget them in their graves! Psalms 9:17 |

According to the Bible, Man is a spirit, he has a soul and lives in a body. Therefore the Spirit is the real man, it is the one that lives forever and connects us with the spiritual/supernatural realm. The soul is the seat of the mind, our emotions, feelings and will. The soul can die ("The soul that sinneth, it shall die") bit the spirit does not. |

Prechgold1180: Heaven is also our present House a but many are not conscious of it. Heaven is the twin of Earth and the 2 are always together working. Heaven means spirit and earth means flesh. Which is why the Bible always talks about spirit and flesh; heaven and earth. Paradise refers to the new heaven and earth, like the one Adam had that is Garden of Eden, which God will remake because this present heaven and earth will be destroyed. (Men have even destroyed it and God is not going to repair it) But He has told us that He shall make a New One for us. That new one, He shall make is Paradise! |

Prechgold1180: There is nothing to be confused about. The question is "what did God create when He made man which looks like Him?". Surely, it is proven without doubt that God is not fleshy (earth) and The Bible clearly declared that "God is Spirit."! So what then did He make in man? Answer 2 things: 1) spirit of man called "soul"and 2) Physical man called body or flesh. Its as simple as that. |
