Nigerians should not blame us for fuel scarcity: Buhari regime

The Muhammadu Buhari Administration says the hardship being suffered due to scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) was regrettable but called for patience in finding lasting solutions to the problem.

Timipre Sylva, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, who made the appeal on Sunday in a statement by his media aide Horatius Egua, said it was not time to blame the government for fuel scarcity.

“It is not a time to trade blames as is customary in Nigeria. It is, therefore, not a time to query anyone but a time to come together to salvage the plight of the average Nigerian,” Mr Sylva said.

He blamed the scarcity on inspection failure which allowed adulterated fuel into the country, nonetheless, the minister said it was regrettable.

“Let me once again appeal to Nigerians to be patient with the government in finding lasting solutions to the crisis,” Mr Sylva said.

He appreciated the NNPC for showing so much concern to the plight of Nigerians by coming forward with an apology.

“This is unprecedented and shows that we on the government side are not afraid to take responsibility,” he added.

The minister also said the Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority had been out on the streets, fuel stations to ensure that the situation normalised quickly.

This Buhari has never achieved anything in his useless life. Either he is being the president thru quota system or through coup. Even will agree with me that the dullard never takes responsibility for his actions and deeds.

You see, at the end, no one will be held responsible for the importation of the adulterated fuel.

Even if the Executive wants to sweep it under the carpet, shouldn't the NASS stand up for the people?

I wonder whom FG want us to blame. Nigeria is just a very hopeless country. Break up this bloody contraption already and let us go back to the drawing board. Are Nigerians not tired of all this avoidable hardship they are being put through by their heartless visionless politicians? When are Nigerians going to wake up? Una mumu never do?

The fg is right. The fg cannot be blamed but the idi.Ots who supported and elected them into power given that some of us are currently drumming for the election of version 2.05.

Even though the "FG" did not import the adulterated fuel, they appointed the people whose work it is to ensure quality of imported pms passes safety test. The minister of petroleum is also this same "FG" by the way undecided
